Electric Paradise

Just a little over two years ago, some random Sunday AM, Jim and I were contemplating house and dj culture. Nights were dropping like flies. After-hours clubs were failing and closing. We bantered back an forth about local night clubs turning their backs on a thriving and vibrant scene. We compared how it was "back in the day" to places like Ibiza, New York city and Miami. Both of us had different experiences, theories and views but the one thing we both believed, and still do, is that this scene, for lack of a better word, IS NOT DEAD.

On a daily basis, our friends would talk about sets, upcoming dj's, adventures to far off clubs and parties. They would call each other up about new records, download countless hours of music and post on countless message boards.

This music, OUR MUSIC, may be dispersed but it is not dead. It lives and breathes in everyone of you reading this now.

Our vision, was to bring all of us together. To present a party that was bigger than the sum of all of it's parts. We invited you to take back what was rightfully yours at "Reclaiming Paradise". An oasis hidden under the cover of night for party people all over New England to gather under the electric sky and come together to the rhythm of the same sonic beat. A Paradise of House, Club, Techno, Progressive, Funk, Trance, Disco, Breaks and Drum n' Bass.

They said it couldn't be done and yet we met again and, in greater numbers, at "Return To Paradise".

But, that wasn't enough. You took over a whole island one weekend in September and made it your "Zion."

Now, once again, Jim and I invite you to join us in our paradise...

"ELECTRIC PARADISE"

The long overdue and highly anticipated third installment of the, now, legendary "Paradise Parties".

Three independent and sonic rooms of the most explosive dj culture and electronic music, all under one roof!

Your Party. Your Music. Your DJ's.

"Electric Paradise!"

tym ryan (rise, spin cycle. MA)

www.tymryan.com

since the late 80's, tym has been a cornerstone dj in house music culture in new england. through college radio, his weekly "culture" party at boston's axis night club, his legendary and long running "spin cycle" weekly, countless rave and club gigs all over north america, canada and europe, to his current residency at boston's "rise" after hours club, tym has, literally, pioneered house music and dj culture. his eclectic and diverse tastes leave tym with no boundaries but, only one ethos. house. tym's previous appearances at "reclaiming paradise" and "return 2 paradise", were nothing short of stellar and we are proud to bring back this living house legend, back for another floor filling session.

osheen (blinded records, lot 401. RI)

www.djosheen.com

dj osheen has been a staple and a pioneer in the northeast house music culture since his teens in the late 80's. breaking ground through the acid house movement, osh found himself to be one of the most sought after underground dj's in the country, throughout the 90's. his production credits include one of the earliest releases on the, now defunct but legendary, "strictly rhythm" record label, countless overseas labels, and his very own "blinded records". osheen has rocked floors all over america, canada, europe and spain. he is tenacious in the booth, never letting any turntable stay empty and always in the mix! osheen is our living legend and our house music champion, here in rhode island and we defy you to stand still, for one second, during one of his body rocking sets!
