ADAM SCOTT NELSON a.k.a. SOMBIONX brings the Chicago House sound into the 21st century, informed by his formal music training, studio experience, and individual artistic vision. Adam moved to Chicago in early 1990 and happened upon an abandoned 1970's disco in Chicago's Logan Square as a living space. Soon after, Nelson opened the location as Q Studios. Early in 1995 Sombionx had the luck of sharing his studio with Johnny Fiasco, who over the next 5 years would help influence the Sombionx sound from DNB to Chi-town House! Fiasco handed him his first remix project, "Try her for Love", a DNB track Nelson whipped up for Chicago's export diva/dj Colette. The track impressed Bad Boy Bill who snatched it up for Colette's first Moody release. With his foot in the door now Sombionx set out to carve his own nitch in the Chicago house scene and has since developed that style over many memorable house releases on a number of labels. As chart listings and reviews began to pour in from all over the globe Sombionx and the Q Studios team decided it was time to launch their own label. "Eye of the Storm", the first release had Djs as diverse as Derrick Carter to Darren Emerson impressed. As if running a studio, spinning out at clubs and cutting tracks weren't enough, Nelson, alongside studio partner and muse Lindsay Frkovich started collaborated on a series of tracks featuring Lindsay's melodic vocals over Sombionx's cutting edge house, hiphop and drum and bass styles. The pair perform live globally for an ever growing list of promoters and venues. Sombionx has produced hundreds of tracks, as well as leading sessions for clients such as George Clinton, treatments and effects for theatre and film sound design, and a lengthy list of hip-hop, house and drum and bass clients. LINDSAY

LINDSAY FRKOVICH, the voice behind Sombionx & Lindsay, grew up singing in her father's recording studio, Band Center, in Milwaukee. Moving to Chicago in 1997 to pursue music, she has spent the last five years hosting and performing at some of Chicago's most memorable underground events. Is the manager of Q Studios she keeps things flowing alongside partner Adam Nelson. She earned a B.A. from Chicago's Columbia College where she sharpened her skills as a performer and music producer. She is featured on over 30 tracks covering a range of music including Hip Hop, House, Drum and Bass and Rock. Her sexy melodic lyrics and vocal delivery proved to be the perfect blend with Sombionx's House sound. She is featured on Q Studios, Lowdown, Doubledown,BlueM and Viva Recordings new label Extract.

Paul Johnson / Dusttraxx

Born and raised in the birthplace of House Music, who has over forty 12†releases (on Dust Traxx, Undaground Therapy, Cajual/Relief, Dance Mania, Riveria, Full House, Confidential, IHR, Peacefrog, and Djax) and six full-length albums (on Nite Life Collective, Relief, Moody, Peacefrog, and ACV), is one of our hometown heroes. Recording under the aliases Traxxmen with Robert Armani, Brother 2 Brother with Gant Garrard, and Yonkapin on his own making both deep disco house excursions and techno bangers, Paul is known world wide for setting and resetting the direction of House Music time and time again. “Playing With a Rubber Band", “Just Whistleâ€, “Burnin’ for Your Yearnin’â€, and of course, “Get, Get Down†(which, by the way, came out on Moody, Defected, Fuel, Legato, and Rise), have all become part of our hearts, our minds, and our souls.
