It's like a Nazca line...the sand is made from crushed "pizarra" it's like flour...thick and humid and somewhat solid (heavy enough to not be blown away) plus, it's made on the belly of the mountain (on the hill) and the wind hits in a way that it doesn't erase the drawing...it's been there for thousands of years, I used to go there when I was kid and spent the whole summer exploring caves and hiking mountains, riding bikes and scuba diving...
