weyes
one should beware of on-the-job crushes and decide if the best possible outcome of pursuing it is worth the worst possible outcome. sometimes settling for an unrequited crush can even be fun in its own way.tune in tomorrow. mala
In my experience, nothing good has ever come of an on-the-job romance.I'd call it an office romance, but shit, I've never worked at an office.
weyes
In my experience, nothing good has ever come of an on-the-job romance.I'd call it an office romance, but shit, I've never worked at an office.the last time i worked in an office with a couple, the guy in the pair was shot 6 times in the head in central park while the two of them were together, because he didn't want to give the muggers his jacket. vicman
so the fact that he was dating someone from work was directly related to him being shot 6 times????
weyes
nope - just an anecdote. but the girl was out of the office for weeks and no one could bring him/herself to take down the guy's nameplate. no one knew what to say to the girl when she finally came back .did you ever go out with someone with whom you worked, vic? vicman
nope not me. i dunno why. its not like i will stay at the same job for the rest of my life and there are quite a few bright and good looking women in the office. what about you?
weyes
i once had a looooonnnnngggggstanding crush on someone who was in another department at my company, back when i was in new york. he knew i had a crush on him, as it was really obvious, and everyone in my department knew it anyway, and he tried to make conversation with me, but he wasn't very good at it ... i didn't pursue it, both because i thought it would be bad to go out with someone with whom i worked (even though we were in different depts.), and because - though staggeringly cute and funny in a lost-little-boy kind of way - he wasn't very bright.
