.... a common question, .... "what do we need to know".

Here are some, general, tips for the major venues.

1) Lines.

Memorial Weekend (which is comparable) had several thousand, yes thousand, in line at the major venues. If you dont have a hookup, be prepared to wait.

2) Bottles.

What are they? How do they work at the majors? Do I really have to do them?

1. How many bottles

Venues generally ask 1 bottle per 3 persons.

A hookup can get you in at 1 bottle per 4 persons.

2. How much are bottles.

Generally around $400/bottle.

3) "We are 7 people, 3 girls, 4 guys. A host told us we have to do bottles otherwise we wont get in. The host said the venue wont line pass 7 people."

False generally! Venues want you to do bottles, lots of em, because its big money. Seven persons at 1 bottle per 3 persons is $400 x 3 = close to $1400 after tax. Host will push you to do bottles too.

4). What is a Line pass.

A line pass means you dont wait in line. Unless someone tells you that you are going to be line passed, dont assume. By all means ask.

5) Plan plan plan

Every night you should be at at least two spots and easily three spots - one preparty, one party, and one afterhours. Plan ahead.

6) Share cabs.

The best way to meet people. Ask people waiting for cabs where they are going. Vegas has a full share of Minivan cabs and they dont charge per person.

7) Dont party in a bubble.

Dont assume that there is something so unique about your group that sets you apart. "We are 7 girls that are all hot all we have to do is walk up and say hi." "We'll get there super early and wait." "We'll grease his hand". The average vegas clubgoer goes to vegas at least once a year and visits with someone that goes equally as often or more. Dont assume that the rest of the clubgoers in line dont know what you know, because they do.

8) Dont get burnt lol literally.

One of the biggest impressions you will see at you will see is how many burnt in the face and neck people are on the dancefloor. Do NOT lay out for hours around the pool unless you know that you can take it. It may sound obvious - but no one wants to hookup with a tomato. Party smart during the night and during the day.
