MORGAN HADLEY

Morgan started DJ'ing nearly 5 years ago, as a freshman at Boston University. It was a love for the music, the attitude and the culture that surrounds the electronic genre, which drove him to take that leap and start DJ'ing. Slowly over the next 4 years, Morgan honed his technical skills and developed a sound which embodied everything from tech house to banging progressive, tribal, downtempo and trance. Working at one of Boston's premiere record stores, gave Morgan access to a plethora of music unavailable to the regular budding bedroom DJ. Yet with skills and his sound developed, Morgan still kept to himself.

Over the next few years Morgan regularly attended all the quality nights that Boston had to offer, such as John Debo's infamous Chrome night's as well as wild nights at Avalon. Venturing out of town was a frequent event as well, as monthly trips to Twilo, Limelight and Vinyl (Arc) exposed Morgan to several different artists, genres and sounds.

Now nearly 5 years later, Morgan is slowly taking the next step, exposing himself more to the public and making his talents as a DJ known to many. Although some may see him as new and inexperienced, they'd be surprised to know that Morgan's DJ studio/bedroom has seen more talent than some clubs. Some amazing afterhours sets, tag teaming with Sean Cusick and other notorious locals, has proven that Morgan has what it takes to stand among the respected local DJ's of Boston.

TOM BARTLETT

Lets go back to yesteryear...

As a child, Thomas William Bartlett dreamed of becoming an astronaut, but when his 3rd grade teacher explained zero gravity one day in class, Tom realized that he couldn't slug back beers in the Space Shuttle. At this very moment he changed his dreams to becoming a rock star!

As a seedling in the greens of the shire, young Thomas played drums in various rock bands, attributing his talents to Roast Beef Curtain,a "lite rock" band from Canada. He soon had it all. His dream of becoming an Christian/Canadian-rock-drummer had been fulfilled... but something was missing.

Tom then turned to the reckless wayward life of a metalhead. Charismatic and purple-goateed, he wowed audiences with brilliant drumming performances reminiscent of Peter Criss and Dave Lombardo. However, the traumatic loss of his purple goatee led Tom to pursue a reactionary stint as Dungeon Master of a little-known AD&D colony in Worcester, MA. Little did he know that one day he would be known throughout clubland as the tech house Master of the Boston nightlife scene.

Tom's Boston debut took place at Caprice lounge with Richie Fingerz, Tuesday's funky house resident. After being heard once, Tom was given his own residency with partner Tigra C at Orange, where they joined the likes of Sean Cusick, Grant Dell, Desyn Masiello, Luke Fair, John Lisle, and Eddie Richards in the weekly lineup. About a year and a half since his first gig Tom has brought his funky tech house flava to clubs in New York, Miami, and virtually every major club in New England, headlining at Plush in Providence, playing head-to-head with Dennis Rogers at WMC, opening for Way Out West at Avalon and Tyler Stadius at Rise. Tom is also a constituent of the Plastic Sex Funk Band, Boston's notorious tagteam ensemble comprising DJs Eli Wilkie, Groovefire, Matt Cook, Steve Porter, Bons, and Joe Mama.

In recent times, Tom has combined his production talents with the prodigious "lite country techno" stylings of superproducer Dillz to form the cinematic house duo, Hot Lunch. Their debut track, "Party Robot" is currently popping up in record bags all over America, so stay tuned for even more great hits soon to be released this summer.

DRES

Almost every DJ comes from humble beginnings, and Dres is a perfect example of this. Born in Bogota, Colombia in 1978, Andres Escallon grew up surrounded by the sounds and rhythms of traditional Colombian Salsa, Ballenato and Bambuco. His father, an avid music collector, helped expand Dres's taste by exposing him to everything from classic rock, to punk, new wave and british synth pop. It's these sounds that helped forge Dres's love for music at a very young age.

Upon moving back to Boston, Dres involved himself immediately into Boston's and New York's underground club culture, and in 2000 finally invested in a set of turntables. He spent the better part of two years spinning records in his bedroom, handing out mixtapes to his friends but mainly enjoying a new hobby. In October of 2001 Dres took to the airwaves and was invited to submit mixes to a then, young Proton Radio. Later in January of 2002 Dres was offered a semi-monthly show and went on to become one of the first three original shows on Proton Radio.

His affiliation with Proton helped Dres to launch himself as a DJ in Boston, and in the summer of 2002 he landed his first premier club gig at Boston's notorious Roxy nightclub. In the following year Dres teamed up with fellow DJ's Dave Wagz and Scott MacLeod and were offered their first residency at Boston's Venu, nightclub. After a short run at Venu, Dres was approached by John Debo and invited to start a new night at the Infamous Axis nightclub, giving birth to "Square One Thursdays". His monthly sets at Square One with Dave and Scott made a huge impact on the Boston scene, and within a few short months Dres found himself playing at Avalon, having played with Ali Ajami and Sasha.

In '04 Square One came to an end but since then Dres has gone on to play successful gigs in New York City, Montreal, Miami and is a regular feature a different events in Boston. It's only been a short run but a lot has been accomplished by this young DJ. Finally getting his feet wet in production, the future looks bright for Dres.

how could u NOT wanna party with those dudes????

flava is wielding not one, but two vibrators.

they say he uses them while he spins warm-up sets for for headline DJs.... but since he is such an unapprochable super-star i cant really confirm. its all part of the mystique i guess....!?
