melee Posted February 18 Report Share Posted February 18 THIS WEDNESDAY BOSTON BREAKS PROUDLY PRESENTS!!!DEEP IMPACT (BROKE BREAKS, SUPERCHARGED, UK)Deep Impact (aka Mark East) is a DJ/Producer from the UK who originally started out as a Drum & Bass DJ way back in 1994, manly DJing in clubs and on the UKs extreme sport circuit with fellow DJ, DJ Dust (Sie Dyson). Around 1999 the pair were hearing more and more of a new sound that was emerging in the UK called Breakbeat and decided to team up in the studio to have a go themselves, the subsequent track was called “Give It†which was signed to Plastic Raygun.Mark continued to produce with Simon moving to Brighton based Supercharged to record tracks like “Methods†and “I Love Music†along with remixes for The Freestylers. But unfortunately due to family commitments Simon would have to quit, the pair’s last work together would be the mix album “Heavy Weight Breaks 2†and after a tour Simon hung up his headphones.Mark continued to DJ and produce and went on to write tracks such as “Carpet Muncher†for Cyberfunk, “Rock Tha House†with fellow heavy weight Distortionz and set up his own label Broke Recordings which would see him team up with the Autobots for tracks such as “The Spanish Tune†and “Bomba Latina†as well as his current outing and IDJ’s single of the month “Ultrafunkula†and “Rockin’ With The Best.â€Deep Impact can be found DJing all over Europe and he will continue to push his high energy sound in 2006 which will see him team up with old skool producers The Utah Saints, a remix for uber cool label Lot49 and the launch of a new label, Brock Out.
