Please join us this Thursday, March 2nd, as Analog Lounge welcomes three very special guests; Craig Mitchell, Jay Prouty and Dorian Anderson! :clap2:

Craig Mitchell

cRAIGmITCHELL, a.k.a. oLIVERtWISTED, a founding member of the chart-topping production team The Orange Factory, fathered and cultivated the dance music scene in Burlington, Vermont, where he went to Saint Michaels College after moving from Saginaw Michigan...near the birthplace of techno, Detroit, Michigan. With over 16 years behind the decks, cRAIG served as a resident at New York City's legendary Tunnel and has played the country's most celebrated venues and club nights. He has rocked crowds alongside such tastemakers as Chris Fortier and Tom Stephan (Superchumbo). One experience with cRAIG behind the tables and belting out one of his tracks LIVE, while dancing continuously in the booth and you'll understand why his shows are so well attended and recieved and why every club he plays in wants him back over and over again. Unlike many of today's DJ's who are so focused on their mix, that they forget about the crowd, cRAIG IS not just a DJ, he is a performer.

Since his debut DANCE production effort in 1997 (C12 "JUDY"), cRAIG has collaborated with a range of artists including Trendroid, Michelle Weeks and John Creamer & Stephane K, his work with whom earned him global acclaim as oLIVERtWISTED on "I Love You." His appearance on Kats & Styles' "You're My...Everything" on Twisted Records, home to the likes of Ralph Falcon and Danny Tenaglia, was one of the highlights of Satoshi Tomiie's Nu Breed compilation on the acclaimed Global Underground imprint. After his contribution to Yoko Ono's highly publicized 2001 single, Open Your Box, cRAIG was invited to assist with A & R, management and operation of Mind Train Records.

Currently, Boston based, cRAIG is restarting his music/DJ career after three LONG years off. With a residency at Boston's only after-hours, RISE, and new music with Dot Matrix, Shlavens and D-Lav, Trendroid, Lance Jordan, 1200 Warriors, Cytric, Sasha Vykhovsky, Mike Morales, Low End Specialists and more on labels such as Lajja, En-Soul, Slanted House and more...the future is going to be very (oLIVER) tWISTED!

Jay Prouty

Since relocating from Atlanta 3 short years ago, Jay Prouty (aka JayP) has quickly risen to top of the Boston dj scene and become one of the cities go-to guys for underground house music. Jay's busy dj schedule sees him playing regularly at the top venues in the city, including Avalon, Rise, and Underbar. With past dj performances alongside the world's best, including Deep Dish, Steve Lawler, Satoshi Tomiie, Marques Wyatt, and Gene Farris to name a few, Jay continues to prove why he belongs with the big boys. His ability to span all genres of house, from deep and jazzy to techy and progressive, has him holding down residencies at the infamous RISE Afterhours - Boston's only afterhours club, multiple lounges in the northeast, as well as continued performances at the largest clubs in Boston.

Jay is also co-founder of Cassiamor Productions, a 3 year old production company which continues to host some of the best parties in the city. Currently you can find Jay and the Cassiamor Crew holding down the VIP room @ Avaland every Friday night, entertaining the elite party-goers at one of the nation's largest club nights.

Jay has also managed to find his way in the studio, learning the craft of writing and engineering underground house music. Jay's first release, titled "Soul Free", features the vocals of renowned talent Craig Mitchell and will be a forthcoming release on Slanted House Records. Be on the lookout for a VERY large remix by Lance Jordan.

Dorian Anderson

Dorian was introduced to edm while an undergraduate in California. Upon graduation, He moved to Boston where he quickly found himself immersed in the city's vibrant scene. Slowly refining his skills as a the prototypical bedroom dj, Dorian was afforded the opportunity to play at small events in the Boston area. "The biggest thing i realized from my time in Boston, and perhaps a bit too late, is that you have to play a room and be able to play a number of different music styles. Staying within the confines of one genre of music is not a true challenge for the dj nor does it serve to expose the audience to the wide range of music that exists."

Consequently, since his move to New York, Dorian has moved away from his once characteristic dark progressive trademark to explore variations on that rather amorphous genre dubbed house, most notable tech and funky with touches of tribal and deep. His recently formed "Applied Science" group has been picked up by Frisky Radio and ventures into the production realm have also commenced. Known also for his party antics, a night with Dorian on the decks will surely be entertaining as well as aurally satisfying.

Make sure to stop by Vertigo this Thursday for a great night of house...people still talk about the last time Dorian played Analog Lounge, so don't miss it!!! ;)
