Boris did this as a one off favor for other people involved with the party and It was a great success. To have a dj with a following like his in a small up close and personal setting was something to this day people talk about. We also did a similar party at another spot with the Low End Specialists that was an even greater success As for saying homeboy drew 1300 people @ Ice, hmmm I think not. If there were 1300 people from Long Island who still went out on the regular and listened to house I would be doing parties every night of the week. Yes there may have been 1300 people there but it was a Thursday college night, and 99 percent of them were kids who wanted to get drunk and listen to hip hop.As for hating on Jon Paul, granted 3/4's of his parties aren't my cup of tea but he is a stand up guy and always does what is best for his DJs and his parties.Im not hating on Jon Paul and I'm not trying to say anything to blow up Stylez because he attracted 1300 people to Ice. Because it's not relevant to the argument. Stylez is good but still in training and he has a long road ahead of himself. As far as Boris and the whole drama that is arising from it.....well it's my opinion based on my experience I recieved while listening to him. Leave it as that. Trust me I've been outside this country to check out multiple talents around europe and from the hype this guys gets from his uneducated fans here in NYC is nothing short of a hype or even a prospect.I'm presenting my opinion, like everyone else does on this forum. If you don't like it, keep it to yourself. As far as you talking about "professionalisim", you should have a taste of your own medicine. It's disgraceful what goes on at Avalon with the booking mess and other political garbage. Hence look where your management got you hosting hip hop parties because you cant even hold a steady house crowd.As far as Stylez goes, you guys should give him the credit for the amount of people he pulls with the lack of funding and promotion on your end and additional expenses he has to pay for out of his own pocket because you guys can't even print the lousy flyers for him, which in the end should be an investment for your own establishment as well.and by the way I'm not a kid.....i DONT WORK AT AVALON ANYMOREused to ...and when I did, i looked out for this kid...so lets just drop it ....cause this should be about STYLZE>not this petty crap ..jonpaul Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
