cool1g
there was a big article about this a couple of months ago in the Los Angeles Magazine.the bulk of the venue will be occupied by Social Hollywood, a large restaurant run by the China Grill organization. a smaller part will be a new bar run by the former manager of either the Skybar or the restaurant in the Mondrian, i forget exactly. Social was supposed to open in late 2005, then by Valentine's Day. Now, as you said, April 2006 is the target and it appears to be on course for that. a friend peeked his head in the venue the other day and said a lot of work was going on but it looked relatively near opening.also, the new Pam Anderson backed venue on Hollywood Blvd. between Bella and L Scorpion is ready to open and just awaiting its final permits.
