nomembername Posted July 24 Report Share Posted July 24 I'm just curious how you can bring up the fact that Mets fans always mention THE BIGGEST CHOKE EVER because that's all we got yet it's ok for yankee fans to ALWAYS mention how many rings they have or their recent dynasty? It just seems odd that you guys have no problem throwing that information from the PAST in either our faces or Boston fans faces? Like I've said before the Yankees are in a downward spiral since they last won the WS in 2000. Don't give me that bullshit "well atleast we made it to the playoffs every year and a WS" either. Fact of the matter is you are expected to win it all and you have not delivered. And you guys not making the playoffs this year with a $200mm payroll will be the icing on the cake. Usually when argueing over whose team is better, when one side starts bragging over what they have accomplished you would come back with things that YOUR TEAM accomplished. It would be one thing if the Mets came back from 3-0, but they didn't. The Red Sox fans could (and should) throw that in our faces for as long as we live because it was their team that beat us. A Mets fan using that is kind senseless. It's like someone chanting "YANKEES SUCK" at your FOOTBALL teams super bowl parade, or talking about how your biggest rival lost 22-0 in a meaningless game in september that your team had nothing to do with...
