attn: Caleb and other Yankee fans

I'm just curious how you can bring up the fact that Mets fans always mention THE BIGGEST CHOKE EVER because that's all we got yet it's ok for yankee fans to ALWAYS mention how many rings they have or their recent dynasty? It just seems odd that you guys have no problem throwing that information from the PAST in either our faces or Boston fans faces?

Like I've said before the Yankees are in a downward spiral since they last won the WS in 2000. Don't give me that bullshit "well atleast we made it to the playoffs every year and a WS" either. Fact of the matter is you are expected to win it all and you have not delivered. And you guys not making the playoffs this year with a $200mm payroll will be the icing on the cake.

STOP LIVING IN THE PAST!!!

Our 2001 to present "downward spiral" would represent the greatest 5 year run in the history of the Mets.... :funny: You wish you had our "downward spiral" :funny: :funny:

I just want to know why it's ok for Yankee fans to bring up their "27 Rings" when trying to win a discussion but as soon as Mets fans bring up "BIGGEST CHOKE EVER" we are made out to be the bad guys for bringing up things from the past
its cause most yankee fans are hypocrites.. thats why

When we bring up the rings, you guys retort with "stop talking about the past". So now that you guys (finally) have some ammo to use against us and you bring up the "BIGGEST CHOKE EVER", well guess what? That too is in the past. The past is the past whether it's last year or 100 years ago. So if talking about the past is wrong, then neither side is right in talking about it. At least when we bring up the rings, we're pointing to what our team has accomplished over their history, while the "BIGGEST CHOKE EVER" was just one season that ended really badly.

What I would like to know is why do Met fans even bother using the "BIGGEST CHOKE EVER"?? Usually when argueing over whose team is better, when one side starts bragging over what they have accomplished you would come back with things that YOUR TEAM accomplished. It would be one thing if the Mets came back from 3-0, but they didn't. The Red Sox fans could (and should) throw that in our faces for as long as we live because it was their team that beat us. A Mets fan using that is kind senseless. It's like someone chanting "YANKEES SUCK" at your FOOTBALL teams super bowl parade, or talking about how your biggest rival lost 22-0 in a meaningless game in september that your team had nothing to do with...

why you ask? its because its the biggest choke in sports history! Not just baseball, but all of sports! It was a universal failure. it will never be forgotten, no matter how hard you try.

Its like a permanent shit stain on a pure white gown.

Three groups of people will care about it 20 years from now:

Yankee fans (obvious)

Red Sox fans (obvious)

People who just hate the Yankees for whatever reason.

If your an Oakland A's fan you would remember it because it was a historical moment, but you probably wouldn't care one way or another.

Also, the Yankees aren't the only team in sports to blow a 3-0 lead in the playoffs. The NY Islanders came back from 3-0 to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1975...

comparable fan base? :puke: are u serious? that has to be one of the most idiotic comments i have EVER seen. ur fan base in not even close. actually u could prob add up all the fans for every team in mlb and it wouldnt equal the number of fans the yankees have around the world..

p-.s. every won forgets the red sox were favored to win that series.
