djmikebugout
Top 10 Tracks of May 20071. Fall To Pieces - Jonas Steur ft Jennifer Rene {Blackhole]-- I fell in love with this track about 2 minutes into it when Armin Van Buuren debuted it on his mixshow in March. Now getting it's release on Jonas' album, this track is a great start to the summer. I can't really say enough about Jennifer's vocals. Some of the most beautiful and angelic sounds you will ever hear. You can really feel the emotion she puts into the words, matching the symphonic melodies Jonas has laid down. Check out Jen's myspace page here--> www.myspace.com/jenniferreneb2. Carry Me Away - Chris Lake & Emma Hewitt [Rising Music]-- This track is another great track with a summer feel to it. With a melody similar to Iio's "Rapture", Emma lays down her vocals over Chris' soothing keys. The driving beats behind it make the track a winner on any dance floor. 3. You - DJ Vibe ft Ithaka [White]-- Straight up chunky, funky tribal madness. The track builds and builds p to a vocal of spoken word that claims, "We are the PLAYERS!!" before dropping into a crazy keyboard over Vibe's customary drums below. 4. Armed - Pryda [Pryda]-- Currently my profile song on myspace, Eric really builds this one up. The first minute of the track simply builds the melody. This is followed by another minute of building beats yet still no bassdrop. Then at 2 mins, BAM! The version you can hear on my profile I added from Eric's page, and is an actual live version of the track, so you can hear the crowd react when that bass drops. Lovin this one. 5. King of My Castle 2007 (sander van doorn) - Warmdue Project [spinnin]-- SVD's WMC weapon right here. Sander reaches back to update this 90's track and adds what you expect from Sander: a kick-ass bassline and a trancy-tech melody to it. Fire. 6. Bigger Love - Sharam [White]-- Another big WMC track right here, this time from half of Deep Dish. This track takes several different directions as it progresses. It has a deep bassline and adds in a male vocal (sounds a lot like Dave Gehan) with a funky guitar over it. 7. Love Is Gone (fred rister & joachim garraud) - David Guetta [Virgin]-- The frenchman returns with what sounds to be the followup to "Just A Little More Love" with this banger. I'm really feelin rister & garraud's mix, with its electro-bomb bassdrop that comes after the vocal. Very catchy vocal, I can see this making a lot of waves this summer.8. Genetics - Sergio Fernandez [White]-- Normally when I see Sergio's name on a track, I grab it just because he never disappoints. Such is the case once again on this track. I've been feelin all his tracks since "Unforgettable Summer". With "Genetics", he has his trademark drums that keep the track movin, but its the bassline that drops around 2 minutes that really sets the track off. Can't wait to play this one for a packed house this summer. 9. I Am (mat zo) - Marcus Schulz v. Chakra [Cold Harbour]-- Marcus opened his set at Twilo in Miami with this track and it sounded amazing on that system. A haunting female vocal placed over some nice melody and some driving progressive beats make this track fit into any of my sets. 10. Falling (danny woo mix) - DJ Rooster & Sammy Peralta [Tweekd]-- I've known Danny for almost 5 years now, since we both spun in a DJ contest at the Roxy in NYC and he's been producing bangers since then. This track can be heard on his page (www.myspace.com/djdannywoo) and features a vocal that is surrounded by tons of drums and low end sounds. Danny's signature builds add some energy to the track, making it a must for dancefloors this spring. Thats it for this month-- Don't forget to catch my mixshow each and every Monday at 4pm and again at 10pm on www.antifmradio.commb

DJGaryMatthews
Last month I had trouble narrowing it down to just 10, this month I can hardly pick out 10 that i think are worthy of being listed in a top 10. Im sure it is in part due to the more minimal style Ive been playing, so its hard to listen to those tracks and think "top 10 banger". Anyway, I'll give it a go. 10 tracks for this month that impress me.1. Chris Lake-Carry Me Away (Mickey Slim & Funkagenda Mix) [Rising Music] This is my certified BOMB for the month! This mix is harder-hitting than the original, with a deeper darker sound and heavy bassline. It uses some nice vocal stabs & synths stabs in the intro. The vocal is just amazing! Its got a very haunting and sultry sound to it. This is a stand out track to me.2. The Doppler Effect-Beauty Hides In The Deep (Envotion Remix) [Electronic Elements (Armada)] Another strong vocal track. This original is a trance track, but this mix kicks up the energy into an electro frenzy reminiscent of Trentemoller's remix of "What Else Is There?". The bassline and the synth stabs come at you hard which keeps this track dirty, and the vocal gives it a trippy edge. The breakdowns are very melodic, showing off its trance roots, but the build ups bring it back to its dirtyness.3. Ian Carey-Love Won't Wait (Mark Knight Acid Mix) [GFAB Records] Mark Knight has definitely been on a tear as of late. He takes what was a much more "housey electro" track and turns it into a deeper, driving tech house track. Knight just uses the vocal hook for a short portion of the track along with some strings which gives it the perfect amount of emotion. Another top notch track from Mr. Knight, one of my top producers of the moment & possibly one of my favorite of all time the more I think about it.4. Alloy Mental-God Is Green (Phil Kieran Club Mix) [skint] Driving techno with a steady bassline and kickdrum throughout. The track build and builds from beginning to end. Kieran eliminates the vocal from the original, uses some of the same sounds from the original but slices & dices them up into pure madness. 5. Deko-Liebe [Antibemusic] This is dirty tech house with a very heavy bassline and some high pitch synth stabs that hit you out of no where. The synths are changed up later in the track, but for the most part this track stays pretty steady, but never lets up on you. 6. Chocolate Party-Wikid (Mark Mendes Tech Vocal Dub) [uMM] The track builds up with a drum roll and then drops one heavy ass bassline one you. On a good soundsystem this will absolutely shake the floor, the walls and your brain! 7. Tribalishious-Here It Comes (Alex Celler Remix) [Helvetica Noir] Alex Celler is another producer that is at the top of my list right now, and I will pretty much buy every track of his without even havinig to listen to it. He takes a tribal track and puts his tech house spin on it, which gives it a more grimey sound. Its got great percussion and it really keeps the energy going. This is a big room track that i think the big room nyc dj's will be rockin if they arent already.8. Cytric feat D. Organism-Sleeping (Deka Remix) [Escuro Recordings] This track is a big difference from the original which has a typical tribal sound. Deka's remix is more tech house-ish with a heavy kick drum that never lets up and an eery vocal sample on top of it. This is very afterhours to me. 9. Luka & Lazo-Dust No. 4 (Barem Remix) [Mo's Ferry] Its hard to write much about a minimal track because minimal tracks dont typically change much through out the track. This track has a deep bassline with some nice bassy synth stabs. It may not have crazy breakdowns or buildups but it definitely packs a punch. 10. Nikos Toscani-Crobar [Kult] More pounding big room tribal from my boy Nikos. Great production work as always with a nice synth. Good breakdown and build up that adds some more higher pitched synth stabs to the track which really adds energy on top of the energy that was already there. Nikos is one of the only reasons I still play tribal, because I like playing his tracks. There you go, it wasnt as hard as i thought it was gonna be to list 10 tracks. i actually had 3 or 4 more in consideration for the list. Make sure to tune in to my live internet radio show every Sunday 12noon-3pm on www.antifmradio.com. You will definitely be hearing these tracks. Ive already been playing them for the past few weeks.
