In what we have come to know as the ever-changing world of electronicdance music, Wahi is a man on the rise. He resists conforming to genresand refuses to label his work. As a DJ, his track selections are oftenaudacious and brazenly fresh, challenging the audience towardsexpansion of their listening vocabulary as he simultaneously herds themonto the dance floor time and again. With the recent launch of hisdigital label Curbed Recordings and a residency playing beside some ofthe best artists in the world at Chicago’s Vision night club he’sdefinitely got his hands full. His resume includes opening for thelikes of James Zabiela, MANDY, Steve Lawler and John Digweed who hasbeen quoted as saying “Wahi is set to make a splash in 2009â€,.

Trained in classical guitar as a child, it’s no wonder that once inhigh school his musical attention quickly shifted to the world of DJculture. At the age of 21 he launched his DJ career playing Velvet inSt Louis . After going on to play various clubs throughout Chicago, heemerged onto the global EDM scene through a relationship with Spundaein 2002.

Now an instrumental leader of the team that programs Chicagonightlife’s largest EDM shows, Milo feels he has barely begun his climbtowards the top of the industry. In 2008 Wahi launched his digitallabel, Curbed Recordings and with the release of his track More SoulPlease, he’s been getting plenty of plays and loads of attention fromthe worlds top DJ’s. Keeping busy, Wahi also hosts a monthly show onProton Radio. At the pace he’s working his way up through the ranks ofglobal DJ’s, the rest of us have only to sit back and watch his rise tothe top.

As a DJ, producer and business owner, Dino G combines his tech-house talent with a knack for turning the entertainment industry on ear. For nearly a decade, he has made a mission of not only bringing premiere underground dance acts to Chicago, Ibiza and beyond, but also playing alongside them on an international stage. When not performing on the decks, Dino G handles business as co-owner of Chicago’s acclaimed Spybar, hosting the venue’s flagship underground weekly “Dino G Presents . . .†and showcasing a slew of heavy-hitting, electronic music driven talent.

Dino G’s entrance into the industry began early, taking cues from influences such as WBMX’s Hot Mix Five and the flood of radio mixes that dominated the day. By the time he started DJing and promoting shows in Chicago in 2001, he was well versed in the cultural language both behind the decks and on the dance floor.

“Most of my experiences came from going to live events in Chicago, listening to mix tapes and asking DJ friends questions,†says Dino G, who parlayed the party into a professional career. By 2005, he was playing some of Chicago’s premiere venues, including Crobar, Vision, SmartBar and SoundBar. But it was Chicago’s Spybar that tapped Dino G to become one of its only residents in 2005, and by the following year, he invested back into the club by becoming part owner.

With more musical and financial freedom, Dino G set his eyes on the prize, launching a Friday night weekly that would continually showcase a rotating cast of top international techno and house talent. Since 2007, the acclaimed “Dino G Presents . . .†has hosted the likes of Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, MANDY, Pete Tong and Erick Morillo, to name a few. Additionally, Dino G reached out to the international stage with his “Spybar and Nine Channel Sessions†at Privilege in Ibiza, where he not only served as resident, but also booked the venue’s talent for the Coco Loco Room for Monday nights in the summer of 2007. Dino G has continued to evolve his career, playing everywhere from Czech Republic (Fabric) and Poland to Miami’s Space and Nocturnal. In addition to his Friday night weekly, he also has a quarterly residency at Avalon’s Spider Afterdark (Los Angeles).

In 2008, Dino G started balancing his visibility on the decks with time in the studio. The summer 2009 launch of his tech-house label “2 Red Belts†with Spybar partner Garrett Belschner features his originals tracks as well as releases from some of tech house’s most respected artists. Additionally, he continues serving as Spybar’s talent buyer while marketing, managing and promoting club events.

As an industry player, Dino G brings a collaborative attitude to the business that carries over into his profession as both a business owner and a performer.

“Chicago is great in the fact that I get to work with a lot of other venues even though it’s such a competitive market,†Dino G says. “In the end, having a good time—that’s what it’s all about.â€

Phatt Ivan (correctly spelled: Phatt!van) is part of a longstanding group of DJs, who are now a staple in Chicago's nightlife scene.

In 2003, four friends decided to make their dream reality; they brought all their ideas and music together, soon to render Chicago speechless. Today, NORdjs have become a household nightlife name.

Regularly playing in the city's fittest venues, and having shared the decks with the likes of Paul Harris, Dave Seaman, Creamer & K, Deep Dish, Paul Oakenfold, Satoshi Tomiie, Steve Lawler, and Sandra Collins, NORdjs resume is quite impressive for only having been on the scene 6 years. NOR's humble beginnings soon translated to city-wide recognition with the city's hottest promoters.

The crew's down-to-earth attitude and approachable nature soon gained significant respect with Chicago's clubgoers and socialites. The fusion of talent and musical inclination sets NORdjs apart as a versatile and unexampled group of DJs. It was only natural that NOR's next step was music production and international touring. Spanning the globe from Chicago to Miami and Eastern Europe, even NOR admits to not knowing what the future holds.
