Ok on Saturday night around 9pm me and my peoples decided to go to the Seminole Hard Rock Cafe and let me tell you, I took the turnpike and got off on Griffin Road. Got off the turnpike and made a right on State Road 7 when I was 2 blocks away from the casino there was bumper to bumper traffic so horrible that it took me 45 minutes to get from point A to point B. Talk about horrible I guess when people hear about something new in Broward they come out in the masses.

So once entering the Seminole Hard Rock Casino the first thing you notice is that you have BSO cops controlling the streets not Seminole Reservation cops. Once inside the Casino the first thing you notiice is the nice marble floor. being my first time in this Casino I happen to walk around and notice that they have 1 restaurant, 1 club, Outside Pool bar, Bingo Room, and whole lot of fucking machines where you can lose your money on an instance, yeah I leaned my lesson on this night. I lost 40 dollars but I ened up winning 80 dollars from one of the countless 25 cent machines they have there.

In the middle of the casino they have this huge round bar area with widescreen TV's playing videos of artist and also playing any sporting event. You can pick out of 10 bartenders to get you a drink, but follow my advise and dont order from there because your going to end up being there for atleast 10 to 15 minutes before you get a drink, yeah the service in that bar sucks and you have everyone screaming out what drinks they want so bad for you and and even worst for the bartenders that have to deal with this.

My advise is go to the restaurant and go to the bar to order from there where its more quiet and there not such a big commotion. The drinks are mighty cheap, I bought myself 3 Coronas, 1 heineken, and a Henessy and coke for only $20.25, so talk about a deal but aside from that the hard liqour dirnks are watered down so if your a hard drinker like I am dont order any liquor just stick to the beer!

Now lets talk about their supposive nightclub, first of all they have a Function Once Sound System installed with some nice lighting which makes you think your in Space. But thats where the comparison ends they have some Dj by the name of Joey Jam who plays Hip Hop, Reggae, Freestyle, and Trance but this guy should stick to the other genre's and stay as far away to the Electronic genre as he can. The crowd is mostly late 20's, 30s, and early 40's and I said before dont order any hard liquor from this place.

But overall Seminole Indians having something very good in their hands, the lead singer of Staind should perform a solo later on this month at this Casino. The casino is good but I dont think it deserved all the commotion its getting but I guess its new and everyone wants to visit it!

I hope all the people who haven't visited the casino yet should visit it sometime in the future just to experience it.

Do they have all the usual games....hope its not like one of those casinos where its only one game and a bunch of computer slots. I like the black jack tables...craps, roulette, poker and for slots I have to have the old style with the pull handle the wheel that spins....I can't stand Mickasukme casino down here...all their slots are all this computer screened bullshit.

Nope, we are not so lucky, not even your classic slots. From my understanding, there are state laws keeping these games out of the casinos. I was looking forward to having some real gaming here (particularly blackjack, preferrably single deck) when this place opened, but looks like that's not happening after all. I haven't been yet myself, this is just information I've received word of mouth.

Perhaps someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think "classic" slots exist even in Vegas anymore.

Gambling is against the law in the state of Florida. The only way that this place can have what it does is because its on a reservation. If you want to really gamble you need to go on a day or evening cruise on the Seaescape in Ft Laud or something similiar to that. Cruises with them are like $25-30 and you drink free while playing and they also have other activities to keep you occupied such as shows, a pool, bingo, kids camp (if you bring them), lots of food, ship tours...all kinds of fun stuff.

BTW...I was an Entertainer and Cruise Director on the SeaEscape in 2001. ;)

Cool, thanks for the review! I have recently been thinking about checking this place out. I think on the next 93.1 night, I might head out there.

Is it true that it is open and sells alcohol 24 hours?

even thoguh it isn't Vegas, I have a full scale gambling less than an hour away from me up in Detroit and Windsor. It is a fun night when I can hit the clubs, then the Casino Restaraunt, and then go play Black Jack or Roullete.

Yep, Windsor rocks music-smiley-005.gif

the Florida indians only have a "level 2 gaming" license. no black jack, no craps, no roulette, ect. slots, low stakes poker and lighling bingo, thats about it! not a real casino. the taxes on a level 1 gaming go up astronomically, and they dont want to pay it i guess.

No trancelator, Vegas sticks to it's classic slots I don't think the Vegas crowd would go for computerized slots!!!! I can't wait to go again been there 5 times can't get enough!!!!!!

Even Atlantic City, NJ sticks to the classic slots!!! Man can you imagine if all of Ocean Drive was turned into Casinos & Clubs!!!

WOW, is all I have to say about that, the money that would be rolling into this city would be CRAZY!!!!!
