V. Barbarino
4. Please avoid slanderous comments - we are legally responsible for comments posted here. Some of us in the legal community feel this rule is bogus. We would like to sponsor a debate on cj about this rule. We feel cj is using scare tactics to prevent the destruction of the board into club planet status where porn and drug dealing is the norm. We feel these scare tactics only hurt the credibilty of the board, and proper mods can enforce the rules without posting bogus legal reasons which are cleary made up. I would like like to open the floor to the public now for comments:
ryan2772
: : :Why don't we just leave everything the way it is???That's my vote. ;D
BobbyTrendy
For the most part Porn is kept in the sex forum and drug talks are kept in the drugs forum on CP.I don't see why everyone bitches soooooo much about CP, yet alllllll of them fucking post there more than they do on CJ..... givemeabreak...Fuck the legal bullshit. All of these boards are a source for folks to post THEIR opinion or promote their shit.... some boards have rules, and if you don't like the rules - LEAVE.Its that simple. Guest Clarisa
I second Apo. We are all adults. Most of us should already know how to conduct ourselves in public.
Guest pod
I don't consider it a scare tactic. I consider it playing it safe. Mods operate in a wrath-of-god mode here, deletions happen, and there's not much that can be done about it. Oh, and the other site is still a wretched hive of scum and villany. And I post here more often, so there! 8)
Guest macboy
So Saleen, you're a lawyer now? The answer is no, they are not responsible unless they (the owners and their agents) post the slanderous comments themselves. Hope that helps.BTW, it doesn't really matter, Pod does what he wants! ;DDelete away Herr Pod!!!!!!!!
Guest endymion
If the armchair lawyers here would like to take this matter up with a real attorney, please contact our legal counsel, Kathryn Porter.
