CBS could admit as early as today that documents it used to question President Bush's National Guard service were concocted. More: A retired Texas National Guard official mentioned as the possible source says he passed along information to former Sen. Max Cleland, who is working with John Kerry's campaign. Guest demo909
Does anyone really care about Bush's national gaurd service or Kerry vietnam service? We all know they each served to some extent. There are more pressing matters to discuss about both of them and what they plan to do with this country when elected....IE health care, taxes, Jobs, Iraq....and so onWhere was all this when Bush ran for president in 2000? Why is it so relavent now? Who decided that this is the focal point of the election?.....It's a bunch of crap
Guest obby
I agree. Who cares what they did 30+ years ago. I care about their voting record in congress and who is will strengthen our military, intelligence and defenses.http://www.newsmax.com/orhttp://www.newsmax.com/archives/articles/2004/9/20/124054.shtml

Guest JMT
the more attention the left gives to arguing about the past (or faking it, in Dan Rather's case) the more they dig kerry's grave by avoiding anything that can hurt bush.
Guest saintjohn
Asked if the media were paying too much attention to the Swift Boat Veterans' criticisms of John Kerry, Mr. Rather replied: "In the end, what difference does it make what one candidate or the other did or didn't do during the Vietnam War? In some ways, that war is as distant as the Napoleonic campaigns." Yet nine days later Mr. Rather was reporting on Mr. Bush's National Guard service as if it were the story of a lifetime.so, why was rather so determined to run with a story based on documents that were "too good to check"? (church lady voice) could it be . . . media bias? (/church lady voice)imagine the reaction if fox had been caught doing something like this to kerry.source:http://www.opinionjournal.com/editorial/feature.html?id=110005650
