Get ready for another groundbreaking radio channel - exclusively from SIRIUS -

at no additional charge to you.

Shade 45 is a new hip-hop radio channel created by Eminem that's set to debut

Thursday, October 28. We'll be performing a channel update to your SIRIUS

receiver a few days before, on Monday, October 25.

Also on Monday you'll find CNN Headline News, Channel 104, renamed to CNN.

SIRIUS is proud to announce the in-depth reporting of CNN, The World's News

Leader, will commence a few days later.

Along with the addition of CNN, SIRIUS will expand its live sports coverage with

Sports Play-by-Play 3 on Channel 127.

Updating is Easy

When you turn on SIRIUS on October 25, your SIRIUS receiver may need between 2-5

minutes to receive the channel updates from our satellites. During this time,

the audio you hear may not match what is shown on your display. (Please do not

change channels during this time. That will delay our ability to update your

receiver.) You may also notice a message on your display. Once the update is

complete, your radio will function normally.

With the update, Street Beat // Channel 44, will no longer be available. If you

are a regular listener to Street Beat // Channel 44, please note that similar

programming may be heard on Hip Hop Nation // Channel 40, Hot Jamz // Channel 50

and-once it debuts-Shade 45 // Channel 45.

Remember, SIRIUS offers channel access solutions. With SIRIUS Plug & Play radios

you can customize the channel selection and control what channels are available

for listening. To learn more consult the User Manual that came with your radio.

Or, call SIRIUS Customer Care at 1.888.539.SIRIUS (7474).

Thanks for helping us revolutionize radio.

can someone tell me, does satellite radio konk out during a heavy storm like direct tv?

Yes. It can. However, I'm not a good judge because I mounted my antenna in a very strange spot. I'll have my signal drop out under trees. But most people who have it all set up right on the roof have few problems.

oooohhhhhh kinky :o

LOL

Less kinky and more because I don't have a roof on my car. Who wants one of those big, black rubber circles on their trunk? And, for some reason I think the black would really stand out... not 2 much blending going on with that color paint.

I've never had my XM konk out. I can assure you the problems are nowhere near as bad as satellite tv.
