ARMANI EXCHANGE LAUNCHES

A|X MUSIC VOLUME 4

Chemistry – The Fourth Installment in the A|X Music Compilation Series

Supported with Events in Major Markets

New York, NY (October, 2004) – Armani Exchange, the fashion voice of urban youth, will release the fourth installment in A|X music - “CHEMISTRY” CD. Chemistry captures the energy and heat of two of the today's hottest DJs to create this double CD set compilation. Compiled and mixed by PALASH & DJ RAP, two of the hottest young internationally renowned DJ/Producers in the world this CD includes: Armand Van Helden “Hear My Name”, Junior Jack “Stupidisco”, Donna Summer “I Feel Love”, Soul II Soul featuring Caron Wheeler “Keep on Movin”.

Known for their distinctive styles, these jet setting turntable titans have set dance floors a blaze, from New York to Ibiza. Palash spins the sultry progressive tribal beats while DJ Rap goes oldskool with house classics.

PALASH has been an integral part of the underground house movement for over a decade. His style in the DJ booth and production studio has evolved from the accumulated wisdom of watching and manipulating the effects of sound on crowds around the world. He wields an ever-evolving modern primitive blend of the dark drums of tribal, tech-house punctuated by evocative vocals and melodic tracers. Palash has catapulted to the forefront of the genre with his remixes of Kylie Minogue, iiO, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Steve Lawler. His tribal touch has made him one of the most sought after remixers today.

DJ RAP has for the last eight years been the undisputed queen of drum'n'bass. Label owner, producer, recording artist and world-renowned DJ. The East Londoner stands alongside the likes of DJs Hype, Grooverider and LTJ Bukem as one of the few, and only female, pioneers of drum and bass. 'Learning Curve', her self-penned and produced debut for Sony, was released to widespread critical acclaim in 1998, fusing pop sensibilities with an underground production ethic. This year she celebrates the first ten years of her career, by going back to the beginning and feeling out her house music roots.

In conjunction with the launch of this CD, Armani Exchange will host a series of events in major markets (New York, Los Angeles, Denver, San Diego, Miami and Boston). Palash and DJ Rap will hit the decks to spin their incredible tribal & progressive sounds mixed with drum ‘n’ bass and house beats for a crowd of local fashionistas, celebrities and tastemakers from the music and fashion industries.

Armani Exchange is an incubator for Giorgio Armani’s new ideas and the street barometer of his fashion directions. A|X directs Mr. Armani’s pure sense of design to an innovative collection for the young, urban chic.

Armani Exchange – “CHEMISTRY”…the ultimate blend of seductive progressive house tracks. Available exclusively at Armani Exchange stores, ArmaniExchange.com and Virgin Megastores.

These armani parties KICK ass! There was an amazing one last Tuesday (Giorgio was there himself milling about amongst others) at Pier 94 that was awesome....and the one with Peter Rauhofer at Crobar recently was also a blast. They pull out all the stops. And the models dancing around are breathtakingly beautiful. tasty indeed.

Evan am I putting you plus 1 or 2 on VIP?

Thanks Lainie for the generosity, but I cant make it to this event....I'll be out of town until Sunday, unfortunately. But thanky u so much :D 8)I havent been to Avalon in ages, either. As a matter of fact, I haven't been to a club since the last Armani event at Crobar (aside from the Armani event at Pier 94)

I hope the event is supersuccessful like the past few armani events have been! good luck xo

All I can say is that Keoki showed up and was screaming WERK BITCH and doing Runway in the booth w/ RAP

And then all of Chris From System and I took the great pictures of all of the booth huddled around Tom Silverman from Tommy Boy after he passed out. ;D

Gonna get all the pics up by tuesday. Too much fun...but wtf was with the snow when we came out. That was crazy!
