You should debate him. The majority of the people in Ibiza are GROSS and cracked and generally not attractive. Anyone been to the the Matinee party at Space? I've never seen a grosser bunch....but the music was off the hook.

The best was when we took a train to a club in BFE near Valencia called Bananas... we thought it was going to be like the Trans DF express up in there, lol. I studied abroad in Valencia and took that same train to Bananas...it was crazy!! You're the first person I've ever heard mention this....I always tell the story of my experience at this club. For those of you who havent been to this place...you take a train from the city center North....you get out in these Orange orchards and walk through a path until suddenly there's this giant club out of nowhere. I dont know if we took the wrong way or a shortcut, but we took a slim path through acres of orange orchards and followed the sound of the bass and the lights in the sky. Inside, the place was complete debauchery, and there were even prostitutes stripping and dancing with people....they offered sex for money. No joke. This was all clearly going on and permitted. I have pictures. Thanks for bringing back this fond memory! Spain is just crazy. I love it there... 8)

Don't stay in San Antonio, whatever you do! It's a cesspool of obnoxious British people (sorry, Nick ) and it's really gross. Only stay there if you're on a really serious budget. It's far from everything good as well. And yes, there are club buses, but who wants to take a bus to a club and ESPECIALLY back. Yuk. I meant to say before as well, you shouls visit Formentera while you're there too. It's an island nearby. It's got great beaches and it's a nice day trip. I love it there.

PS, I recommend El Hotel Pacha or Es Vive. I stayed at both...the only drawbacks are that Hotel Pacha is in a crappy area and thier pool is lame....but the rooms there and the service are really superior. Es Vive has a great pool and great service, but the rooms are smallish and not that great. There are other really celestial hotels on the island, but they're relatively far away from most of the action...

I've been a couple of times. It's very expensive. Here are some things you can do to cut your costs: DONT go in July or August. Go in June - or even better - September. Otherwise, the island is FULL of people and things not only get very costly....but also very crowded and uncomfortable at times. There arent that many taxis on the island either, so in July and especially August, it's very difficult to find a taxi...so you'd have to rent something or pay Argentinians to drive you around for at least 30 Euros, no matter where you're going. (this is how I got around this past August in Ibiza. It was not only very expensive, but also highly illegal. People who arent taxi drivers, who drive tourists around for money, get 1,500 Euro fines. We were pulled over one evening and my friend and I were taken out of the car and interrogated by the police, etc. I was quite inibriated so it didn't phase me all that much, but still risky nonetheless.) All in all, my flight was $1,500 (granted, I bought it in July and traveled in August...which was late to purchase)....Hotel was $400 a night, and food was inexpensive. I think that if you plan well enough in advance, your trip to Ibiza will be great. Get your plane tix and hotel reservations ASAP, and the rest will be easy.

I managed to get El Hotel for 5 of the 7 nights. The other 2 nites we are staying at Es Vive. (1st 2 nites @ Es Vive, last 5 @ El Hotel). 8)

I know i know. it's making me crazy. I might do es vive the first three nites then the rest at El Hotel. I have es vive booked presently.

Yes I am back, and excited for this trip! How are you!! :) I need some help finding accomodation. We're looking for a nice suite somewhere near or in Ibiza Town....close proximity to nice beaches.... any advice? Hotel Pacha is sold out...dont want to be in san antonio... Who's a definitive source on Ibiza accomodation?

I will be there August 10th-17th.

But not as gross as the green room afterhours I went to instead of Sol on Friday. Big mistake. Never going there again.

I really like Element. I also was shocked at the quality of the sound system when I first went there! So loud! A very fun venue.
