Guest web_norah
BED, Miami's uber-trendy celebrity hot spot where diners enjoy gourmet goodies while lounging supine, is opening a second location in early December in New York's arty Chelsea neighborhood. Designer and owner Oliver Hoyos along with partner Dirk Van Stockum have selected a two-story 15,000 square foot loft in which to create another unique BED dining experience."BED's concept has matured and we are thrilled to expand our bedroom to New York. By taking the aesthetics of relaxed Miami elegance and twisting it with a modern New York interpretation, we know our guests will enjoy our menu in a relaxed and comfortable environment," Hoyos told Xpander.Resident DJ's have yet to be announced, but musically, Hoyos said BED New York will focus on a relaxed vibe featuring downtempo and worldbeat. Design firm Cesar Color has created a curved glass video projection screen to separate BED's main restaurant and bar area. The first of its kind, the 40 foot by 9 foot high glass wall has adjustable vision to enable BED to electronically control whether guests will witness video images or view patrons on the other side of the glass. The visibility spectrum spans opaque to transparent, for the voyeurs amongst you.

Guest agent99
Isn't there another bed-like club opening in the old centro space...I believe it's called duvet? Not sure if it's open yet. Way too many spots opening up, they're killing eachother.

They have been talking about this club coming to NYC for like 5 years now...we'll see if it ever happens.(I think they even had some temporary place open for the filming of a Sex in the City episode)
