Guest slamminshaun
Norah, I kid you not. Not one store in town has this DVD for rent. I called around. The video store near my work said they had it, but it turned out to be some porn flick. So I picked up Elf instead....

Guest slamminshaun
I live about 45 minutes north of WPB....Port St. Lucie. I'm sure I could buy it, but I'm not doing that anymore then you would buy a Christian Coalition DVD. Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, and the little Mom and Pop shop didn't have it for rent. But I saw a review on it a few weeks ago. I know all I need to know about it....Fox is a front for the GOP, but news outlets like CNN, NBC, CBS, ABC, and PBS do nothing of the sort for the left. Guest web_norah
i get your drift JMT, unfortunately it escapes others who should just think before they post or maybe not post at all. hey Shaun - that sucks dude, Blockbuster doesnt have this DVD, well they tend to be a little too mainstream sometimes. maybe try Netflix, you can get a lot of very cool flicks thru them for 18 dollars and no late fees
Guest slamminshaun
Negative. I'm not going to jump through hoops to rent the DVD, but if I see it at the store I'll think of you and do it.....just as long as I can shove some right-wing propoganda down your throat someday. 8)
Guest web_norah
your choice. the fact that Blockbuster doesnt carry it or any local video store either should tell you something.last night, i was watching a movie on "cable on demand' (Time Warner) and even saw Outfoxed listed there. Guest slamminshaun
Is it Blockbuster Video's intention to analyze how many liberal and conservative DVD's they have on the shelves and make sure they have the same for each, or is it their intention to stock what makes them the most money? Seems like Outfoxed isn't considered by Blockbuster, Hollywood Video, or the "mom and pop" store in my town as being a money-maker for them. St. Lucie County was won by John Kerry by the way, so the argument that I live in a conservative town with conservative DVD renters is invalid. Besides, Farenheit 9/11 was fully stocked at all stores since this actually made money. Why do you suppose Outfoxed isn't being embraced as wildly as Farenheit 9/11 was by the liberal audiences? You'd think the "big three" networks would have incentive to hype the DVD on their morning shows, but you don't see that either.

Guest slamminshaun
WHAT THE FUCK IS OUTFOXED ABOUT?It mocks the "fair and balanced" slogan, making the point that Fox is a conservative news station and people watching it are being "outfoxed" into thinking they really are fair and balanced in their reporting. It fails, of course, to mention that ABC, NBC, and CBS controlled TV news for decades with a blatantly liberal slant in their reporting. It apparently also fails to mention the many liberal reporters on Fox's payroll vs. the small number of conservative reporters on other TV news' payrolls. Guest web_norah
no sorry Shaun thats not what it is aboutsince i've seen the film and own it, i should tell you this DVD is about Rupert Murdoch's life, how he acquired all these different newspapers, tv channels, etc. secondly, it discusses with former Fox employees and non partisan analysts the fact that Fox controls and uses very blatantly conservative news, basically what Murdoch feels the "cattle needs to know". third, it goes over the journalistic methods that all the hosts and anchors are encouraged to use, such things as "people say"; "most people would agree that", (cliches). moreover, it emphasizes on how Bill O'Reilly disrespects his guests and belittles them and uses very mild-mannered opposition experts to ensure that in the end they almost agree his political views.in a nutshell thats what this is about.
