Hey i joined at 17.. i was pretty damn Gung Ho... until about 2 years into my duty... then I wanted almost every aspect of military culture erased.. I came home.. grew a beard... grew dreads and became a vegetarian (albeit that period only lasted for 2 years). I wish you're brother the best.
