From my insiders, this is the club to end all clubs... Size of Crobar Miami.. 2000 people strong....

No word from my guys yet on formats for the nights, but i'm hearing friday house on the patio/roof top. They are not officialy calling it a "patio" but rooftop with a roof that opens and closes...

BRING THE OG TO BROWARD!!!!!!!!!

Hey all, felt like putting my 2 cents in as well...

Been working up at the Hard Rock since all the clubs opened, and frankly, i don't think you know what you're taking about.

As with what is going on downtown, what you have up here is the development of a large-scale clubbing and entertainment destination. Passion, Pangaea and Gryphon hold about 4000 people already, and if you've been here on a weekend you know very well that all three are packed and that there are another 1000+ people roaming around the property, trying to get in to the clubs. Not to mention every restaurant is full until close, and bars like Murphy's Law and the Park are also full. To think that Spirits is going to put anyone out of business is very simpleminded. Look at what's going on downtown... the clubs are complementing each other rather than detracting from one another, making the trek to that area more appealing to clubbers innocent and "educated" alike.

Back to Spirits... it's not a patio, and it's not a rooftop... it's a permanent open skylight over one of the rooms upstairs. My "insiders" are my own eyes, as I was just in there today for the umth time. Probably a more realiable source than yours.

And finally, i want to point out that I do work for Gryphon and Pangaea, and we welcome Spirits' arrival at the Hard Rock as they will bring even more attention to this already booming development. What we offer is different from what Spirits will offer. If you like the Space crowd, I'll be seeing you at Spirits, as I also look forward to some of the events that they will bring on Fridays. However, if you're looking for beautiful women in an intimate, sophisticated and yet still energetic atmosphere, you know where to find us. Oh, and the music rocks too.javascript:replaceText('%20;D')

Ignorance will get you killed in the club business.

DT used to be the label manager for Yoshitoshi... ;)

Gryphon/Pangaea is one of the most professionally run nightlife organizations that I have ever dealt with.

I believe that Spirits and Gryphon/Pangaea will complement each other. Bear in mind that we are not even in season now and almost every venue in the seminole paradise is at capacity. If people have a strong variety it will keep them coming to the area. One week at one club, the next at another...it won't get stale that way, like when you go to the same venue every weekend.

It will also take the bar up a notch for the club-going population. More bigger events with better production.

I know full well that LP is one of the best nightclub operators in the world...however, does he compete with Prive? Or Mansion? or Mynt?

Pick your niche and do it correctly and you can't not be busy at the hardrock now.

BTW...sorry Saleen, I have been remiss, I will get in contact with you shortly.

Your point is? If you want me to start talking smack about our neighbors you are wasting your time. I respect them as I have known all the owners, INCLUDING (as in it's not just him...) LP, for a long time. It's your assumption about the effect that it will have on the other clubs that irked me enough to register on cooljunkie and respond to your post/propaganda. Guess we'll have to wait and see where the ignorance lies.

Why don't you come check us out and see for yourself in a few weeks, i'll even buy you a drink.

The casino area is nice because you can get "real" clubs, without having to face the real world. Safe for white folk, if you will, you know the type, they consider Steve Urkel a thug...

Dan,

Location is also a strong factor. For instance, I live in Delray, it is 30 minutes to the Hardrock, an hour or more to Sobe/Miami. The hard rock is pulling a lot of people from Palm Beach County. PBC has a couple of great venues (mainly Delux) but to have a brand new destination, with $ multi-million clubs is a big draw.

putting all that's been said aside, and trying to keep it civil and cordial, my main point is that right now, Broward has something it didn't have a year ago, and with a new quality club opening, that value of this whole project can only increase. Who wants to drive 20 minutes, whether it's from Delray or SoBe, to go to one place. What if it's not happening that night. That's where having a multi-club complex (as in downtown) becomes an asset, it provides options and variety. I understand that this is cooljunkie, and that it caters to fans of EDM, but let's not pigeon-hole all the clubs here, there is plenty offered for all walks in life and all musical tastes. Would Spirits offer it all every night? Then why would we assume that it will push everyone else out of business?

Anyway, this forum thing is addictive, no wonder you guys are on this constantly. peace.

there are still some undesirables there after dark, but not the staple downtown bum type.

assumptions are almost as bad as ignorance...

It's an insult to offer me a "drink!" Clubs buy me bottles, I probably have set the record at the number of free bottles in a 4 year span.. I wonder if there is an catagory at the dancestar awards for this, hmmmmmmm, Pod call Dance Star, we are adding a catagory! Funny enough I don't drink liquor, I just give the bottles away, go figure.

You'll learn the ropes of the CJ game, I sense the force is strong with you, though you came out with the old "buy you a drink" too early, it's like moving your queen out in chess on the 3rd move, hold the drink move back a while, then a friendly non public pm. Thats how you play the game, don't ever use the buy you a drink move so soon, it never works!

Evan, long time no post, I thought you got hurt in a serious trance accident, glad to see you are alive and kicking, give me a ring, my # is in your email.
