Guest slamminshaun
Give them an inch, they take a mile....it's obviously NOT about keeping the air clean inside. Everyone says, "hey, go outside and smoke". Well, in New Jersey, you can't even do that apparently even though everyone was under the impression that would be the case. Still no good explanation for casinos being exempt from indoor smoking..the debate rages on....http://www.nj.com/news/ledger/index.ssf?/base/news-6/114490963643940.xml&coll=1 When will outdoor BBQ's be outlawed? Guest coach
When will outdoor BBQ's be outlawed?Wrong question. The question is, when will it be legal to blast my boombox outside? If you can smoke right next to me at the bus stop, I should be able to open up the bass.

Guest coach
What do noise ordinances have to do with BBQ smoke? Exact same thing that BBQ smoke has to do with cigarrette smoke. It is all about how much you are allowed to annoy your neighbors or the people next to you at the bus stop. Cigarette smoke is much worse for you than loud music, and yet you are allowed to share your smoke with others but not share your music. That is just fucked up to me. I mean, I am just using loud music as one example of freedoms that have been removed for the comfort of others.

Cigarette smoke is much worse for you than loud music, and yet you are allowed to share your smoke with others but not share your music. Ok, then...which is worse? Sucking on a cigarette or sucking on the tail pipe of a '67 Chevy? Last time I checked, cars haven't been outlawed in this country despite their "dangerous" health effects to innocent bystanders. Back to the point of the thread, non-smokers have always said, "hey, I dont care if they go outside for a smoke, just as long as I don't have to choke on it inside." Now that bans are taking place nationwide for indoor smoking and they got their way, non-smokers are now saying, "yeah, well...I don't see why they should be able to be anywhere near the restaurant I'm eating at, outside or not". And now that they're getting their way again, what next? No smoking at your own home? Wait, that's already passing that in some places....
