I like to go to Whole Foods for certain things but their basics are way to expensive so I supplement at Publix and Winn Dixie for the basics...

Sams and Costco for a ton of stuff...

Publix for smaller stuff and once in a while, Albertsons and Whole Foods...

Publix, since I don't eat healthy really, and there's a Publix within walking distance of my apt.

It is odd though, that "healthy eating" is actually quite expensive.

Mainly Publix for convenience. When we think about it, the Oak Farms on SoBe. And Costco when we can get there

The Publix of the Future near the bay is pretty neat-o.

I've got the dubious distinction of shopping at the first one ever built in the Miami area. It's got everything that the Publix of the Future does, but in a smaller building so everything is cramped in.

Whole Foods FTW!

they're expensive - but worth every penny.

especially their produce.

their cheese and olive selection is rediculous.

meats and dairy i'll purchase at publix.

pod you're correct, its so expensive to eat healthy.

with $5 you can eat like a pig at mickey d's, but with $5 at whole foods you're buying yourself a pineapple lol.

I think that with the steady rise and consumer shift towards organic foods the price will go down.

And people, please do not buy organic food from places like Walmart.

In an effort to get a piece of the organic food market, Walmart has lobbyed the FDA to reduce the standards of what foods can and cannot be classified as organic.

So if you buy organic foods at Walmart you are supporting the lowering of the FDAs standard of what foods are classified as organic or not organic thus weakening the natural and orgainic food movement that is very important for us to get back to imo...

My logic is that I manage to stay reasonably healthy by avoiding the obvious crapola foods, hitting the gym when I can (more often now, since my ankle is at like 95 percent), and little things like walking places when I can. Not having a car helps for sure. For example, I see no issue walking from my apt to a Walgreens ten blocks away.

We used to call it Club Publix in college... you would run into so many people you knew and there were always guys hitting on you. I still <3 it... of course it's not in the same league as Wild Oats, but neither is my salary in the same league as the folks' who shop there.

Dan, that Publix by your house is retarded. You'll be on an aisle and it'll have deoderant on one side and peanut butter and jelly on the other... the greeting cards and cereal on the same aisle, it's ridiculous.

Oh, I'm not defending it. It's totally back-asswards.

Mine is definitely Club Publix. I see quite a few club personalities shopping there...representin' the fact that the cool kids live in my area now.

if it was logical i would shop at a different store for a lot of different items but usually publix. whole foods is great but yes, it's pricey. winn dick-me sucks except for the produce. at publix you got a 1oz bag of cilantro for $2. at winn dick-me they have bunches of a good 6oz portion for fitty cent. winn dick-me usually smells like ass and old meat too. out in cali they have a store called Ralph's. it is a grocery store comparable to publix w/ quality but they also sell liqour ;D ;D ;D!!! since it's the pacific coast they have a whole different selection of produce. there was stuff out there i've never even heard of let alone seeing it before. some of those asian fruits and vegetables look crazy!

-Do you's guy's have arugula?

* what is arugula?

- WHAT THE HELL IS ARUGULA?!?! IT'S A VEG-E-TA-BLE!!!!!!
