Well there were not northerners when I went. No white people. It has been awhile so maybe the dancing thing went down the hill and got more racially integrated. Anyone know if at night on wed or thurs senor frog still does the dancing thing?

Senor Frogs is definitely not local, at least not in the sense of Miami Beachians frequenting it. It may be folks from Hialeah or something, but it really is a tourist place mainly, if it has any crowd at all.

You know, I've not had a problem at Snatch/Suite. I think they run a very organized door compared to some. At least they did the times I've been there. One of my favorite bartenders works at Suite, too. I can't remember her name offhand, but she's the one with the long black hair. Argentinian or Venezuelan or one of those. Really sweet.

have some etiquette and dont keep holaring at the doorman and he will let you in. My experience anyway. LOL I watch some of the front door chaos and I think peoples behavior is ridiculous. The goers act like dicks, so will the doormen, its as easy as that

as for words at the beginning of this thread, if you can dish it out, you should be prepared to take it as well.

by the way 95 times out of 100 I enter the club alone and I get right in

Not to play devil's advocate here, but I challenge anyone of y'all to work the ropes at a club for one night, and still be 100% civil.

He's problably a janitor at his day job....

And that makes him less of a person? What if he owns a company that provides janitorial services.

what you do for a living or how much money you make doesnt define you as a person

Most of the door guys/girls down here are great. There are a couple of a**holes but what kind of mood would you be in if you had to work some door all night mere feet away from a bunch of HOT people having a blast???

Tip for a**hole door people: Usually if you are are nice but have to make people wait cause it's really hectic they tend to do it a lot more patiently.

I dont hit many SOBE clubs which is where the rope junkies are...however when I do see a rope and a crowd I am usually by myself anyway so I just get as close as I can, and wedge in where I see a space and say the doormans name if I do know him to let him know Im there and usually get in sooner than people that were there before me. Going as a solo male I cant be pushy, so thats me

You can say asshole.

I am well aware that I can say the word asshole. I believe what you were trying to inform me is that I may spell it out on here. Thanx but I think it looks cute like this, a**hole! ;):P

with due respect there are doormen that like to think they are more than just security and wouldnt know what to do when the shit hits the fan but i was a doorman for a while in England, not that im a big guy or anything but you have to deal with people comming in thinking they are special and looking at you with evil eyes for no reason in which you have to return with a welcoming smile.and you can detect punters that come in wanting to start trouble.the money is shit, the hours suck and sometimes you get treated like shit.on the other hand there are doormen that work these clubs that are high on coke to keep them up,thats where you get these bouncers like the one 'braziliandrunk' had an shitty encounter with or maybe that bouncer was just born like that, lol. But one things for sure - if you where leaving the club to get more money to come back and spend in the club he should have let you in,thats a no-brainer.....

Yeah like I'm saying it's all situational dependent. The guy in front of an empty club on the 600 block has no right to cop an attitude.

I can understand if the guys in front the major clubs get testy. Dealing with thousands of people all night, many of whom are assholes in their own right, or just plain cretins, would wear on you.

The worst experience that I have EVER had at the door of a nightclub was last month at mansion the night Oakenfold played.

To preface this.

I am in the industry and am a promoter who has booked Paul several times in a couple of different cities.

I am very excited to see Paul and have a really enjoyable night. Many of the times I have seen Paul I have been beyond stressed out because I have to handle all of the details of producing a 1000+ person show. To those of you who have done it, you understand.

I was confirmed on Oakenfold's list, show up relatively early, and am with two very attractive girls.

I politely wait at one door, and when the door man got to us, I informed him that I am on Paul's personal list. The door guy informs me that I at the wrong door and sends me to the other. No problem there.

However, when I get to the other door, and after waiting several minutes there, I am informed exactly the same thing...go to the other door. I tell them that I was just there and they sent me over here.

Whatever.

So I go back to the other door. Same freaking thing.

Now I am starting to get heated.

I go back to the other door and see Antonio M. standing back a little ways. I call him over and explain what has been going on to me the last twenty minutes or so.

He could give two shits and walks away.

Now I am really pissed. I actually started yelling at the door guys. This is complete bullshit and if Paul and his agent knew you treated his guests this way they wouldn't be happy.

Doesn't accomplish anything.

This has completely killed my good mood. I just came from a great dinner at China Grille, going to see one of my favorite djs, and have an all around awesome night.

I say what the fuck, I'll pay, just let me in. You're ruining my night over a couple of dollars. The second I said that one of the guys grabs us, and escorts us to the front of the line at the other door. We get right in.

That shell game hustle that they pulled netted the club $120. Whatever, no big deal.

However,

That was complete Bull shit and totally unprofessional.

I get in, and go backstage (Yes, I have backstage passes).

I am hanging out with Mick, one of Paul's managers and tell him about what happened. He told me that there is a back door with the list. He wasn't happy about the way that we were treated.

A back door.

WHY THE FUCK DIDN'T ANTONIO M. OR ANY OF THE DOOR GUYS TELL ME THAT PAUL'S LIST WAS AT THE BACK DOOR?

I didn't even know that Mansion had a back door.

You guys are hustlers and not in a good way.

In all my years of promoting Oakenfold and any other artist, you always honor the artist's guestlist. YOU ARE CONTRACTUALLY OBLIGATED TO DO SO.

There are only several DJ's that can bring in as many people as Oakenfold and there are a lot of clubs down here...not smart business.
