PEMBROKE PINES -- Hip-hop diva Foxy Brown has something new to rap about -- from the Broward County jail -- after being charged with throwing hair glue and spitting at a beauty supply store employee and then taking a swing at a cop.

The latest legal run-in for the 28-year-old resident of Englewood Cliffs, N.J., began Thursday night when Brown, whose real name is Ingrid Marchand, was utilizing beauty products inside the bathroom at Queen Beauty Supply, 12105 Pembroke Road. Around 9 p.m., owner Hayssam Ghoneim told Brown to leave because he was closing. He said Brown refused and hurled insults at him, then threw the hair glue.

The platinum-selling rapper then became completely unglued. She spit on Ghoneim when he went to the phone to dial 911, the police report said.

The rapper left the store, but police caught up to her outside the shopping plaza. Officer D. Cuba asked her to return to the shop with him, but she refused and swatted the officer's hand away, the report said. She then swung at the officer and fought with him. Cuba said in his report said he was forced to take her down "to gain control" because she had swung at him.

No one was injured.

Foxy, a Brooklyn native whose first hit Ill Nana album was a high school anthem for 1996, was being held at the Broward County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bond on resisting officer with violence and battery charges.

It's not the first time Foxy has been arrested for spitting.

Foxy's was accused at age 17 of spitting on hotel workers in Raleigh, N.C., because they told her an iron was not available. Resolution of the case was not immediately known.

In 2004, she was accused of assaulting two nail salon workers in a closing-time fracas over a $20 manicure and pedicure. "I got the pedicure, but they didn't give me the manicure," she explained.

Brown later pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault charges in the case and admitted using her cell phone and fist in the attack at New York's Bloomie Nails. She was sentenced to three years' probation.
