But a senior administration official said aides are studying the possibility of “a broader federal role†in regulating mortgage brokers and originators. umm doesn't this go against the conservative perspective on economics??? I see Bush says there's no BAILOUT for the lenders, but he's working on something for the homeowners who fell prey to shady lenders.......Yes, there should be some level of personal responsibility, but the reality is that not everyone is fully versed in all the details involved w/ homeloans.
