Maybe I'm in a dream....because it definetly does not look dead to me...or maybe it just drank some Viagra.

I cant say that Ive been to a party/event that I did not enjoy in the last 3 months ;)

---and November is not even here yet...

glad to see the usuals last weekend--SHIT, I even saw Ramon drinking on Saturday...HAHA

Yes I agree, I had a great time at Bang Fest and Global Gathering.. I guess since so many others had a great time this years GG and BF will be even better!

Good point. Our scene must be on its last legs.

What a fool.

It's hard to do a festival solely dedicated to one genre of any music, these days. Bang would have had rock bands and DJs, GG mixed it up, Ultra does, and Rock the Bells isn't just exclusively hip-hop.

Ironically, the only thing that actually seems dead around here is Barbie's relevance to the EDM scene. The more he holds on to his preposterous belief that "EDM is dead"... the more he paints himself out of the picture as reality continues to prove him wrong. I believe he has jumped the shark.

In agreement with POD, you cannot make a festival solely based on electronic music and have it appeal to such a diverse crowd.....I would also mention-- that you cannot measure the heartbeat of our scene based on 3 festivals and 5 clubs...

v.barbarino comments are his opinion and I respect that....If he would like to party with us Im pretty sure he would have a great time and maybe even be so kind to say something positive as well......

thanks

minimal has killed the scene down here.

I don't even hear minimal being played out that often in Miami. What venues are you frequenting ?

Yet another irony in this thread. I propose "minimal" is partly responsible for reinvigorating the scene down here.

Part of that is that everyone has a definition of what 'the scene' is. Would I say minimal or whatever reinvigorated the scene? From my perspective, not really. While a lot of you guys were bitching that there was shit to do on any given night, I was out and about enjoying myself at dance music related events, that did decent traffic and money. Certainly not indicative of a dead scene.

Perspective I guess.

everyone has their definition, thats why comments like the v.barbarino should not bother must of us.... The scene im commenting on, is the one being played out right now in Miami.

On any given night, between Monday and Sunday, you are sure to find a place to enjoy good music (electronic) and a round of drinks with friends. We are also being spoiled with talent and venues that are willing to go the extar mile to please their patrons. I can honestly say that we are heading in the right direction and that everyone in this board is partly responsible for or involved in that....

thanks
