Guest crystalmethodny
On Pasta...There are a ton of good Italian places down in SoHo... should we shoot for there?Like next Thursday, then hit a lounge?-Steve------------------"We're going to build things up slowly... are you with me? sgbrooklyn
Its somewhat of a movie theater (no, let me rephrase it is a movie theater) but it plays old classics like breakfast at tiffany's. I have only been there once... a looooooonnngggg time ago. They serve lunch-dinner they notify you in advance before the movie starts . its a great dinner and a movie combo.... they are very structured (in my opinion) but, like someone suggested earlier Soho is a much better idea. The screening room can get boring.

Guest crystalmethodny
Hey...I've never went to that spot, L'ulvio, but walked by it many times...As SGbrooklyn suggested, I Tre Merli is really good, I've eaten there before... but my personal favorite (Aside Barolo which is wayyy too expensive) is Le Streghe, only because on Wednesday they have this Brazilian Samba live music thing setup, it was much fun. I'm not sure if they got rid of it...Both restaurants are on West Broadway. However, L'ulvio sounds better if its affordable... more money for drinks later. ------------------"We're going to build things up slowly... are you with me? sgbrooklyn
barolo... the one with the garden right? yes its nice but like you said a little overpriced so scratch that suggestion off.. L'ulivo I've never been there but it sounds good to me!
lavkrap
"le streghe" sounds cool if they still do the live samba thing, that would be something different.blueangel, l'ulivo serves gourmet pizzas & pastas. mmmmmm, do you know 'streghe' means 'witches'?? just some useless info that you will memorize & maybe use one day. ------------------things to see, people to do... hehelavkrap@aol.com
artful
More money for drinks, huh?hehe....That's the benefit of having no alcohol tolerance..Drinks never cost THAT much.... hehe.Sounds like a judgement call... so is it narrowed down to these two? Which has the better atmosphere? Guest crystalmethodny
HmmToo bad Twilo didnt have a 2k lounge next week... then we could do Streghe on Wednesday and then Twilo... but, I guess not. Howabout L'ulvio for Thursday then?------------------"We're going to build things up slowly... are you with me? Here we go."

sgbrooklyn
ohhh hmmmmm.. you were suggesting we go to the place next door to Barolo... That idea went way over my little head (hehehehe) Sounds good to me I once took samba lessons... I have no idea what my brain was doing while I was reading your inputs before. I totally mislead myself. I think I need to sleep spome more...
