back2basics Posted September 19 Report Share Posted September 19 The thing is top DJ's get sent promotional material left right and center they know everybody, get unreleased tracks first.So it's a bit of a vicious circle as far as new up and coming DJ's are concerned. It's pretty difficult for new DJ's to get on even the smallest mailing lists. You have to show you have played in fairly big clubs on a regular basis.Go here Carl Cox play, think to yourself "how did I miss that?", then realize you wont be able to get it for 2 months. By which time everybody is sick of it.It's not always like that if you are very friendly with a good record store and get the white labels put aside.------------------I want to go out blazing not fade away.I can resist anything but temptation.
