nickijay
don't forget your camera!!! my ex-bf brought back four rolls of boobies............................he's like "look at my vacation pictures, honey".. hee hee. maybe you should take a camcorder and make a video called "girls gone wild" and sell it on tv. no, wait, already been done. ok, film some dudes and sell "dudes gone wild" or "good boys gone bad" or whatever. i'll buy one!------------------ Boink like a snow bunny!!!uknj@aol.com
ReginaP
I go to Tulane, so I'll be there for the 4th year in a row Every hotel is probably booked by now...flights are going to be $$$ b/c of the holiday. It's best to plan early but I would go through a travel agency & see what's available. Even if your hotel is uptown (the French Quarter is downtown) lots of people walk along the parade route down to the quarter. Buy your beads EARLY!! b/c they are way overpriced around Mardi Gras. Definitely hit Pat O'Brien's, Fat Harry's (uptown), and for cheesy/touristy fun--Cat's Meow. Harrah's Casino if you want to gamble, Whiskey Bar, Whiskey Blue, the Red Room & the Columns for nicer places. And Superior Grill for the best margaritas . There's a lot to see & do...email me if you have more ?'s-- reginadp121@aol.com ------------------=)

I would appreciate any info on "where to go" while I am there...Tom are you looking for bars/nightlife or more cultural things too? Let's see...well of course try the restaurants. Emeril's, NOLA, Brennan's, BellaLuna, Nautica, Hyde Park Grill...the list goes on & on. The sushi is great too Moving on--there aren't that many "clubs" in New Orleans...Red Room has some good music at times...735, 0z and the Metro are the closest things you'll find to techno music. For bars...see my above post about Mardi Gras & add: Vera Cruz, Philips, Balcony Bar, St. Joe's, Bulldog, F&M's, the Matador...see if you can get through those & the others I mentioned in 4 days Oh and the casino too Um, I disagree that Louisiana is worth seeing. I've been there for 3 1/2 years for school and um...there are some interesting Plantations but nothing "amazing." If you stick to New Orleans, do a regular tour but skip the swamp & voodoo tours. Waste of $$. Check out the zoo if it's open & the aquarium though--very interesting stuff in there. Go to the riverwalk. Check out the museum. Drive along St. Charles.BE CAREFUL!!! when you visit. One street is beautiful and the next is the ghetto here--it can be really dangerous.Oh--and have fun! ------------------=)
sassa
I think it starts around the end of February right? Not sure about staying there and all..my friends and I are planning to drive from California and skipping school for a week to be there as well...we're basically gonna party so much we won't really need to be staying anywhere...just sleep in the damn car! lol
pookie23
When would be the best time to start planning for next year? I would love to do that for 2k2! Any 1 with me?------------------What Makes a Man Run?People can't understand why a man runs. They don't see any sport in it. Argue it lacks the sight and thrill of body contact. Yet, the conflict is there, more raw and challenging than any man versus man competition. For in running it is man against himself, the cruelest of opponents. The other runners are not the real enemies. His adversary lies within him, in his ability, with brain and heart to master himself and his emotions.- Glenn CunninghamAIM: Spragga25
