Human Traffic

Recommended Posts

I was actually invited to the Premier screening of this movie but couldn't make it because of prior engagements. I did however go to the Premier PARTY which was held at Centro Fly later that night. Great time I must say.

To this day I still have not seen the movie though.

Hey,

While i've got to agree that Human Traffic is a lot more real than other things from the past, some of it was cheezy as f**k! All these sing-alongs, chants, and 'clubber's comedown'? Made my stomach turn. ... Let's top it off with a 17-year old kid convincing Carl Cox as a club owner that he's with Mixmag . . . ?? Not that it didn't have its moments (the dealer, the kid being waaay to enthusiastic about rolling, the older clubbers, etc.)

Yeh the Mixmag thing is a long standing joke, everbody and his mother has used it at some point.. Along with i am on the printers list, the guest list system works differently in the UK.

Personally I thought Groove was a much better movie. I liked Human Traffic, but groove had the true vibe in it. You can't say that it wasn't about the music when the majority of the movie was dancing.... more so than Human Traffic. Shots like the DJ cutting in a new track and the floor going wild were off the hook!

I thought Groove did a much better job of showing what the scene "USE" to be like. When people went to parties and everyone knew everyone and no one was sketchy... period.

just my two cents.
