Questions for the DJ's on this board

Just curious since I'm not a DJ...

Technically speaking, who in your opinion is the best DJ (eg - mixing, track selection, overall set, working the crowd, etc.) I'm not talking about scratching and shit like that.

Also, would your opinion of the "best" DJ(s) be the same as your favorite DJ (eg - maybe not the best crowd pleaser, but he plays your favorite types of music)? cwm4.gif

on another note, can djs define some terms for me? i've been around djs a lot recently, and i hear terms like 'corker' 'sneaker' etc.

can someone list a few of these common terms and define them so I can front on all the djs. thanks.

Hawtin

Carl Cox (just for smoothness)

Just based on mixing ability and what ever effects / drum machines they may use.

I think Jeff Mills is #1 technically too... Also high marks for Carl Cox not because he's flawless, but because of the difficulty level of things he tries... yea he'll screw up sometimes, but most of the time he hits a home run.... the man is always swinging for the fences - 3 TT's, double speed mixes, you name it smile.gif
