translucent Posted January 29 Report Share Posted January 29 So, I'm sitting here in my office (I.V. drip of espresso plugged directly into my vein just to keep going) and the phone rings...Before I continue, here's the background info:My convertible is in the shop in Queens finishing up a whole bunch of modifications that would boost it's HP above 500 (yes, I need that much). "Why Queens," you ask? Because one of the best shops in the US that specializes in the sort of work my car needed is there.And now, back to our story...I pick up the phone and it turns out to be the head mechanic. The first words out of his mouth are "You'd better come pick up your car today!" I'm like "Huh?" It turns out that the shop's owner is missing, hasn't paid his mechanics for two weeks, hasn't paid rent for three months (the landlord is about to show up with his attorney and put a lien on the shop and everything inside...my car included) and is wanted by a bunch of Colombians for screwing them on something.Oh well...I guess I've gotta shlep my ass back to NY.------------------ Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
