Cheap places to stay in NY....

any suggestions? i'm tired of having to deal with the stupid security guards at my cuz's school.. so seroiusly anyone know of any half way decent hotels/whatever in the city or otherwise that i can just score something kinda cheap, i wanna go to PVD in feb. but don't feel like dealing with the dorm bullshit... someone has to know something..... cwm1.gif

You can try the Red Roof Inn on 32nd Street between Broadway and 5th Avenue. It's one of those New York's secret places. The hotel is brand new and very clean. Modern looking too. Their rooms range from $85 to $140 at most. Give it a try. Their number is (212) 643-7100. And you don't have to share bathrooms. wink.gif

I hate to suggest this one since I have never stayed there, but one of my friends stayed at the YMCA at Times Square. It is like 40 a night and really clean. (I have been told.) She said it was mostly foreign travelers. She stayed there more than once.
