The hotel is brand new and very clean. Modern looking too. Their rooms range from $85 to $140 at most. Give it a try. Their number is (212) 643-7100. And you don't have to share bathrooms. It is like 40 a night and really clean. (I have been told.) She said it was mostly foreign travelers. She stayed there more than once.
