What's the latest CD that you bought that REALLY blew you away..

Recommended Posts

OK..So I'm being naughty again..

I've ran away from my space base and I'm back to posting on here..(he-he)

I guess I'm safe from the Dark overlords until they wake up and realize I'm gone...

I've been up all night animating stupid cartoons on my mission and I'mn ALMOST DONE!!!

But I was just wondering about music back on earth!

What CD's have you guys gotten lately that really kicked ass, pumped you up or blew your mind?

Last three CDs I bought before my take off where:

Tiesto's Summer Breeze

Nick warren's Amsterdam

and

Layo and Bushwaka..

(diverse sounds but loving them never the less...How bout y'all?)-------------------> cwm35.gif

Not sure...

I havent had much luck getting anyone together out there..

But sleepiswaste is organizing a weekly at a club/lounge called Millenium that's gonna be off the hook...

It'll be a good alternative to going into the city when funds dont permit it..

And the great thing's that'll be FREE!!

DJs will spin Trance to Progressive House and whatever else he organizes..

I plan to lend a hand very soon just as soon as my current job's over..

You'll hear more about this later!

PM me..we should chill

Ever go to Cafe Bar on 34thav and 36th street in Astoria?

It's mad chill...

PVD's Out There and Back. It completely surprised me and then blew me away. I dont know what I was expecting, but not such skillfully crafted and mixed tracks. I think it is a must buy CD.

ummm i'm not sure if you're just talkin' about club music, but about four months ago i got this compilation cd called ..."dreamworld-essential late night listening"... kinda mellow, but i still haven't yet got sick of it... there's a great version of -olive.."you're not alone" on it.

"in a way it's all a matter of time

i will not worry for you

you'll be just fine.

take my thoughts with you...

and when you look behind

you will surely see

a face that you recognize...

you're not alone

i'll wait till the end of time

open your mind

surely it's plain to see"

-there's some tracks by moby and morcheeba also.. its really the songs and artists i'd never heard of that make the cd.

I'd definitely have to say:

Daft Punk - Discovery

Loved it so much I have it on vinyl AND cd (for my car and my turntables)...

Funky groovy french house from the men who brought it back, the songs just make me happy plain and simple.

And the new GU John Digweed LA is just ridiculous. I just think Digweed has more set progression than anyone else, his track order is flawless. Not only does he pick phat tracks that he *himself* makes popular, his mixing is perfect and the order of the tracks take me on a journey to some far off place. cwm13.gif

yeah..

peace out

People from Astoria and Whitestone? Coolness, I'm from Flushing, not too far.

But anyways, as for awesome CDs that I recently bought, I'd have to go for...

Hybrid - Wide Angle (didn't get the double album DAMMIT!!!)

Hybrid - ...Remixes and Aditional Productions by...

Digweed - GU19

St. Germain - Tourist

and a decent album: Digital Empire - Mix Breed

Tiesto - In Search of Sunrise 2. It's a must. I ordered it from the blackhole web site and it arrived in less than a week. I don't know what other types you listen to, but I also really enjoyed the new album from Rammstein - Mutter. Well worth it.
