furnace
Exactly Mikey...I totally understand Frank, Charlie, and Claudio's points. But I think this is where our tastes diverge.I think we will also see more filtering when we here Nick and Sander this weekend...Certain people will prefer Nick and certain people will prefer Sander. IMHO, Nick is more mainstream and Sander is more progressive...like Howells. Sander's set in Amsterdam 2 weeks ago was very much like Howells this weekend. In fact, I knew Sander was going to build for a while, so I popped over to the other room where Nick was spinning for an hour or so. Not bad at all, but when I went back to Sander (and Lee Burridge), it was really the next step. Perhaps the best way to say it is that Nick is the dj of Christmas present...Sander is dj of Christmas future...btw, Mikey, your track is bangin'. Just the type of dark stuff I like...now I just gotta get it into a format where I can play it on my stereo instead of my crappy computer speakers...------------------

Just the type of dark stuff I like...now I just gotta get it into a format where I can play it on my stereo instead of my crappy computer speakers...thanx for listening kid.......you should check it on the stereo cause I imagine that makes a world of difference....... yea, I had mentioned something very similar to what you said in another post about Sander.......I haven't heard him live yet but from downloading sets, CDs, and hearing some reviews from friends and others, his style(not necessarily track selection) is similar to Howells.......in fact, I read many reviews that branded Sander's sets as "boring" and "repetetive", coinciding with some the reviews of Howells........this leads me to believe that I must see Sander live.......either way, I'm convinced these guys represent the next stage of sound......I mean, is it some coincidence that all of the NuBreeders, maybe with the exception of Pappa, have these same tendencies we're talking about.......those GU guys know where the music is going and it's gonna take time........it's nothing new......Sasha, Digweed, and even Oakenfold didn't gain instant popularity when they were rising up........why?? Because they all were bringing something innovative to the table(at different times and to different people).......something that is not so easy to swallow at first but after people begin to understand where they are going with their music and what they are trying to accomplish, it became a whole different story........I don't think Howells, or any of the NuBreeders, are any different........we'll see I guess.....Mikey------------------"I don't want a piece....I want the whole thing....." - Bob Barker

nightangel
Normally he is really good. I had a good time but he was a little off. But even the great ones have to be off at some point or another.
