phuturephunk
. . . I'm just curious to find out what people's opinions are on Vocals in Electronic music. . I personally don't like em, except in cases where they're done properly and not TOO cheezy. . . Seems like the cheezyness is rising nowadays. . COCKZILLA
it all depends on the production.....sometimes the VOX of a song is hott...but in other cases it's the DUB that's bangin...personally i like vocal shit
heretic909
As far as a house diva wailing like a stuck pig, no, I hate those vocals. I like heavily processed vocal samples used sparingly. Like "Digital Dialogue" by Nick Sentience where they have a very processed effect used on them. But I'm getting pretty sick of all the UK hard house that is using sped up rap vocals in their tracks lately. That shit was bad when it was used in hardcore, it doesn't sound any better with a hard house beat. But on stuff like Batlimore ghetto house music, it's usually the vocal sample as well as the beat that makes the song. Although, I can't say I've heard anyone play any Baltimore breaks since the original Hammerjacks was torn down, so I'm gonna play some of that stuff this Friday to see how a NYC crowd reacts to it.
