Something has to be said about Centro Fly's lack of respect for it'sclients!USUALLY I have no problems with the over crowded space..the Fassion show of ZOOLANDERS sporting sunglasses with diamond hearts in the dark..the HIGH SOCIETY!But last night was one of the worst club experiencesI've EVER had! I had a really cool person help me in (I wont mention names)Got in and got treated to VIP room status..COOL SO FAR!right?WELL...The place was packed with friendly facesMusic was bangin'..dancing dancing..daancing..AND THEN..Water on my shoulder,turn around to say excuse me..See a big guy wearing sunglasses with an empty martini glass..(I kid you not)the motherfucker picks me up by my shirt...(ripping the back)Puts me up against a pole..I elbow the guy in the face..SECURITY GUARDS,Flash lights..thrown in the back..wallet searched..shit all comes out of the pockets..Credit cards, money, coins, cigaretesALL OVER THE FLOOR!DID THE GUY GET SEARCHED?Nope...Just ME!Perhaps if I was wearing sunglasses, a guchi shirt and a cowboy hatI might have not gotten treated like a fuckingcriminal..Pissed off and with no apologyI make my way downstairs..AND MY FRIEND CAN'T GET HER BAG BACK!She's lost her ticket stub!Well,most places would give you a tsk-tsk..and look for it..(I've made this mistake at several clubs..HELL EVEN TWILO'S BAG CHECK HELLFOUND MY BAG ONCE WITH NO TICKET!)BUT CENTRO..nope!won't budge~In fact she went home with no ID..NO BAGand a pissed off MUGWUMPthat'll never go back to that glam fest over prized shit holeEVER AGAIN! (Oh..did I mention that downstairs the bouncers where taking picturesof a girl that was very sick and passed out...laughing and not helping her out..click..snap..click..ha-ha-haaaa)It's sad when a club puts $$ over it's clients!Specialy when it once started out so humbly..so honestly..And hosts such great talent!(Why must DJs cater to such crappy venues!?)A venue I WILL NEVER SUPPORT AGAIN! !(I really hope you all think twice about returning!) I had a very similiar experience at Twillo last January when going to see S&D. My friend got kicked out because he was standing near someone who rolled, and they grabbed him my his neck, kicked him out in the freezing cold into the street. He unfortunately had our coat check tickets, and it and it took us an hour to get our damn jackets because they wouldn't even let him in to get the jackets. That experience turned me sour to the once great place it was back in 96/97.I promote for the GBH parties at Centro on Friday, but I admit those bouncers have become big time dicks. On my own birthday they wouldn't let me bring my camera (a new policy apparently, they found it in when searching my friend's purse, but if I had put it in my pocket I would have been fine) in which is ridiculous.It's a shame how bouncers and club employees can ruin the party for everyone. The girl looked really banged up!! The bouncers kept calling other security down to come and laugh while they took pictures & joked around for a good half hour and then picked her up carried her out of the club. I couldn't even sit on those little wooden blocks that next to couches downstairs, they kept telling me not to sit there. I don't even want to bring up the fact that I printed out that stupid guest list thing with my name on it plus two and they told me it was useless!! WTF was that all about - I thought it was going to be a good deal to get in for $10 (Deep Dish). Waited 40 minutes on line for them to tell me they wont accept it - cocksuckers - fucking bunch of liars!!! Why the fuck do they advertise this shit if they are not going to accept it. Risk, edge, uncertainty, exploring the unknown- these might be the very antidotes needed for the boring, bullshit, club crawl of manhattan that seems to have everything backwards- Or maybe that's not fair...but basically, my idea of a "good time" is not being met by the attitudes, crowds, and snobery that is overly represented at Centro-fly and the downright MEAN staff that seems to have no interest in making their client's nights as enjoyable as possible. There was other f*ucked up stuff going on as well that i don't need to go into right now, but suffice to say that i've NEVER EVER seen so much bad shit go down to people i know in one evening.I'm with Shuga on this: used to love the place. The Friday party there was great a year ago. Now, i only go to hear certain people. And that's the problem - the place is just too damn small for a big party! When its packed the people who work there are dicks, but it must also be a horrible place to work when its that crowded.I've never had problems with employees there personally, and even though when a girl i was with lost her bag ticket a few weeks ago they made us wait till near close to get it, they were totally respectful, took my phone number, called me, etc. I think it was just a sucky ass night yesterday is all, and they probably brought in extra security for it knowing it would be packed, and that just made it worse.I stayed around after u all left btw, and it cleared out enough to dance which was good.the real question is when are some of these folks gonna spin at Roxy or something instead of a sardine can.....
