HAving a piercing isn' a porn star thing. It's a personal thing you do for yourself that no one needs to know about unless you decide to be that intimate with them or they happen to be on the Clubplanet DC board or sex board. You should try to talk to some people who have it done. Loss of sensativity would be a good reason not to do it if that is in fact a danger, but if it's something that you want you shouldn't let other people's hang-ups and ideas about it affect your decision. The only opinions that matter are yours and mine cuz I think piercings on women are fucking hot.

OK guys, well I looked into this and it looks like a horizontal hood piercing will 1) not alter my normal daily functions like walking and dancing 2) only increase stimulation to a small degree if there is any change at all but will not decrease sensitivity 3) not cause me major pain in the process and 4) heal in two to three weeks.

So, tomorrow I am going to the piercer to get an evaluation and a price check 'cause apparently this could be expensive. We'll see. Maybe y'alls want to chip in to fund my piercing??

I checked with a friend who knows about these things.

1) Shouldn't, depends on many factors.

2) It will increase stimulation and any decrease in sensitivity can be fixed by taking it out for awhile.

3) "major pain," not usually.

4) Sometimes.

If you want real answers, you have to talk to my friend at Skyline. He's done a lot of these and can really answer you questions (and probably give you some people to talk to who have had them done). Also, all piercings at Skyline at $35, but don't worry, they know what they're doing and are really good. PM me if you want more info.
