njdionysus Posted January 21 Report Share Posted January 21 I've always wanted to create my own original club from the ground up... name it, design it, decorate it, theme, dj, lights, sound system, everything it takes (and no, I'm not a promoter or a club owner, but I thought this would make for a great post and if there were any future club owners or promoters out there looking to learn something, pay attention). The music is for the people!If you were to own a club in New York City and you were promoting "Sexy Saturdays" answer these questions... - First and foremost, what is the name of the club? - How would you decorate the club? Floors? Theme? - How would you market "Sexy Saturdays?" Dress code? - Who works the door? You?- Much much does it cost to get in?- Does your club offer VIP cards? VIP section?- Who is spinning on "Sexy Saturdays?" - Do you have the same dj with residency on Saturdays?- Or do you have guest djz spinning from around the world?- What is the specialty drink of the night on "Sexy Saturdays?" - If I left out any other specifics, fill in the blanks... beatsfreak Posted January 21 Report Share Posted January 21 if i were to run a club, it would be in boston...theres tons of bars there, but not enuff clubs...theres TONS of colleges up there, meaning, TONS of college kids...yeah it everything closes at 2, but that only means you have to bang it out while the time exists...i dunno what i would call the club...but i would have the booth in the center of the main room so everyone from any part of the room would be able to see the dj...and the twist would be it would be elevated about 10 ft, but would rotate like a record...of course the system would have to be phazon throughout the entire club...if youre goin to splurge the money on a club, you may as well have the best sys money can buy...would have dash do his thing and just go nuts...as for the dress code? i would have it be casual, not dressy, but as long as you looked respectable you would get in...my resident dj would def have to be mr. jason jollins...what can i say? the man rips it up everytime i see him, and have yet to hear him mess up...flawless jay, flawless... and each week i would have local talent from along the east coast come in and show the crowd what they have...without a doubt, the age would always be 18+...i want everyone to be able to come to my place and just have a good time.thurs would be dedicated to a certain night (dnb, brks, etc.)fri and sat would be the usual, house, trancecant think of anything else, but ill try and think of some more stuff...peas.
