teklord310
Yeah, it really is about personal tastes. That is the cause of 90% of the drama on this board...

G MoNeY
- tangent: the statement "nothing is all about anything" is false... it defies the law of identity...- but u missed my point...- when i do go out to any venue, (unless i had some sort of social obligation), i go because of the music thats playing... a pretty space doesnt impress me much, but a dj who is playing some kick ass beats and a crowd that is in love with the Music... that is something worth investing time into... granted the whole dj thing is a socially based idea, but if i had my own personal dj in my room playin stuff that i luv, id stay and listen to him/her (and ive had my share of sunrise dj sessions--NOS)... it is about the music... mikelac
You know why many people love "underground" music? It's because it's pure...it hasn't been soiled by commercialism and money. And to these people, it is about the music. They like that music untouched, and they like it underground because they listen to it or experience it in its simplest form. There are no strings attached...no attitudes...no glamour...just good music. True, some underground music is horrible, but it's just as true for commercial music. And people who listen to underground music don't necessarily dress poorly. The majority of them don't feel they need to dress to impress because they are there for the music alone. As for "keeping it real," the underground crowd feel they keep it real because they're there for the music. It's as simple as that. Music, without all those strings attached, is as real as you can get.
