new Tiesto remix of Oakenfold track

Recommended Posts

After many people heard it on Tiesto's Dutch Dimension Solo set, the much sought after release of Southern Sun has some good news to bring...

Southern Sun, with those absolutely brilliant vocals is the latest track from Paul Oakenfold, and there is more to it, there are a number of remixes to come on it.

This is set to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest release for 2002 (if it does get a full release), and after Oakenfold's long absence from producing from his days under Planet Perfecto and Skip Raiders, this Southern Sun track WILL be released on Perfecto Records in April / May.

Perfecto has not commented and does not wish to reveal full details, but it has been said that the promos will be put out on Perfecto in April / May, with up to 6 remixes. Currently, the Tiesto mix is the only one we've heard, but word is that Solar Stone are in the mode of completing a remix, as is Oakenfold himself.

This is likely to be released in limited quantity, and not see a full release, but I guess we'll have to take it as it is! As Oakenfold is reknown for not releasing his tunes fully to the public (well not all the remixes anyway).

With 3 mixes confirmed, what will the other 3 be?

To hear the Tiesto Remix, check out Tiesto's Dutch Dimension set, and if DJ Misja Hesloot has been playing sets near you, go check it out, coz he has a copy too.

that vocal is simply amazing......one of the better tracks that Tiesto dropped last time I heard him.

I have a quick ?, are those synths in the beginning of the rip, part of the same track or is it an entirely different one?

they're part of the track before it....Southern Sun starts around the 43 second mark if you have the cut version that is on AG..(ie 9:14 long)
