  1. so why cant Studio 54 be considered a place that equals music to some of us ??

and sure, people went for it to do many other "things" but they were dancing to "something", right?  ::)

I think most were dancing to the music in thier heads from all the drugs.

  2. I guess the more picture we give Nick the faster he will post? HaHa :D . I am pretty sure I can get at least 100 next Sat between Priviledge and Luna.

Pod will you get 100 also? they should be up on Sunday afternoon then . :P

  3. Well I can't take too much credit for getting the pictures posted quicker, I just take them and edit them for now.

Also as the slide show goes, it is a good idea and will take a look into it, but also  do not want to jeporidize "click throughs" , if you know what I mean.

and CrazyC, .... Milk does a body good. ;D

  4. WOW Cool! Thanks guys, not only do I get my own post but now I am a "powerful ally" ;D.

For those who haven't seen yet, my first photos are in the galleries from Opium on Friday. ;) Along with POD's,

  5. Hey Bubbles what are you exaclty looking for.

Do you want people that are educated about good music. Do you want the "hot spots" that will be jam packed but the music is only okay?

Crobar and Opium are good , but the door/ line can be a pain.

    Nerve is good

Check out Joia / Pure on Fridays for dinner and good music.

For a good dinner check out Joes Stone Crab on Washington, or Tuscan Steak House .

Tip of $1-2 per drink is good for most drinks.

Check out Next Cafe on Lincoln road for lunch or early relaxing dinner.

Tantra is good, but can be pricey.

check out the rest of cooljunkie for more info and guest lists

  6. No, I dont think so. Trouble would have more info on this or Kamikaze.

The "Return to the Edge" parties are  at the former Edge/ Chilli Pepper now called Venu.  The underground sound is back. Venu has been reopned since mid summer and has been doing the Edge parties on Fridays and after Halloween the Edge parties will be moving to Saturday starting in November.  The Halloween party will be a night not to miss.   2 rooms of sound, inside and outside. Hope to see you there.

  7. Wow I can't read CJ for a day and look what I uncover. I think POD's pictures really suck also.

    j/k Dan ;),

It is rare that you can tell what photograpgher has taken a picture just by looking at it. But that is one of the things that is refreshing about POD's club pics. He puts his personality into the pictures. It is also good to see a good attitude to go along with it since other photograpghers in this town can be real a**holes, not to mention any names.

I even know a photograpgher who has picked up some pointers from POD. ;D

  8. .  I don't care what type of Dance Music you like as long as you like some sort of Dance.

Just a note:  I'm opening another club soon and I would never give a slot to a guy who has that little respect for other DJs.

Dade, very well stated from a respected point of view.  I am for all kinds of music  and clubs since a variety and competition of DJ's makes people produce better products and thus gets the local scene more recognition globally.

I really think that the local scene needs to open their eyes to quality music and Dj's and just  not the big clubs and worldwide  top rated Dj's.  I can  go to Space and see  Oscar G  and Roland with 2000 others, but if they play anywhere else  ie: Life-  local people  do not suport them.

I also think people need to just go wherever the quality  music is  be it at  Nerve, Space or the small club down the block.  I think a good cure for all the jaded Miami  clubbers would to go back and live in a City that has a nightlife but doesn't get good DJ's and then come back and realize what  talented Dj's we get to see weekly.

  9. One thing I know though is that there won't be a better place to be at for Halloween.

HHHHMMMMM? I think there will be. Next door @ Venu will be flyer78298.jpg

But no matter what I am glad to see Laudy rocking.

  10. More breaks and techno please? :)

exactly, overall I think his performance was very good. He did lose some people a few times, but I think the best part of his set was the first hour with a few other momemts in there.. More breaks and crazy sysnths and scratchin like he dropped at the begin and it would have been a 10. Looking forward to next time.

  11. Rob with the fashion advice. ??? j/k

Go to the thrift stores, Salvation Army, Goodwill; you will be amazed. just takes some time looking through everything. But I go about once a month and pick up at least one good thing each time. Shirts for $3, you can't go wrong.

  12. Rough waters

Travis Beckman, from New York State, negotiates a wave in Belmar, N.J., during a professional surfing tournament. The surf, which was rough due to an approaching storm, made it difficult for the surfers.

wish it was like this here, but it is also just sloppy.
