  1. I thought house music was born and raised in Chicago?  ::)

actually if you want to get technical, I am pretty sure it started in Detroit with the likes of Kevin Saunderson, Derrick May , and of course Juan Atkins.  To think they all went to the same highs school that is crazy.  They then moved their parties to Chicago and overseas.

  2. I underdstand the need to make the pictures look the best, especially when the nitrous / fog can mess up allot of pictures.

POD, with the right editing and backend technology I can crop, correct all the levels, insert logos, for at least 250 pictures within 24 hours of the event.

  3. Limp Bizkit is okay, but I am really anticipating the new Beastie Boys album. They are very tight lipped on details, have been in the studio for a couple of months now. The release date is supposed to be late Summer/ Fall, there stuff is always fresh and breaking new ground.

  4. I found this article very intriguing, I am not sure how the DJ will mix, or will they be just slamming the songs into each other. Check it out

    FYI from Apple:

  5. Two great  places to go on a Saturday night. They are both fun is opposite ways.  You can walk from Chill to Crobar, only 2 blocks.

    Party starts @ Chill @ 10:30

Chill Restaurant and Lounge, on the corner of Espanola and Drexel, is  great place to start your evening off with no cover for everyone, cheaper drinks,  and a relaxing atmosphere. Enjoy an evening of Sexy, Deep, & Funky House that sure to make you move. Everyone present will get guaranteed free admission to Crobar with no hassles.

Then head on over to Crobar. The first annual BUNNY BALL with a special Easter Egg Hunt, 4 DJ's DJ's in 3 rooms. A night not to miss.

  6. That really sux, it has been getting good attendace, but I think it has been mainly people coming in from MAZE just to relax and check it out. Hopefully new things to come at Lime Bar, and not the demise of it. I will be there tonight for the official going away party.:)

  7. A party boat is the way to go and a good alternative to the normal club scene. I have been on several party cruises in South Florida and always have a great time. The last one I attended was on New Years leaving from Ft. Lauderdale and cruising the inercoastal for 4 hours. The price $110 per person, wasn’t bad considering it was New Years, and it included a DJ, Open bar all night, hors-de-vours, champagne, and other food all night.

I think it would be good to keep it to just once per month, that way it doesn’t get monotonous like allot of other events. I am torn between a night and day cruise, but that can also alternate. It looks like PVD beat us to the idea.

    Paul Van Dyk Boat Cruise

Paul Van Dyk will be previewing new material from his forthcoming album. 3:30 PM - 6:30 PM. By invitation only.

I will ask around and see what I can come up with.

  8. Here is the plans for the nigth. Going to SPI early to catch Confucius, Stryke, Sean Bauzay well most likely just Sean.:P

Then headed over to Maze for Matt Martinez and free drinks. ;D . Also relaxing in Lime.

Then Late night rounds will be made to Prive' and Cobar. See you all there. I will be the one with a drink in each hand.

  9. The scene definitely needs variety. Like it has been said, you start seeing the same people, hearing the same music, no matter which club you go to. I am really enjoying Lime Bar as of late. The reason why WMC gets so much hype is that you can experience all types of music, just not house. The reason why Josh Wink’s Monday night set at Crobar is getting good reviews, is that he kept it fresh, with variety from hip-hop to classics, and never missed a beat. The big boys need to take some chances and open their minds.

Also killing the vibe, these are just some observations:

It costs $10 for a bottle of water, come on.

When the VIP area is more crowded than the main dance floor, something is wrong. ???

  10. Well, relaxed retro fashion is the thing. Just to point out something, if you are new to South Beach, The dress code may be the last thing to worry about if you cannot get in places. Bring ladies, otherwise the door guy will ignore you, bring cash or the ladies will ignore you. Check on the club section for whats happening.

  11. Honestly, I am really enjoying the relaxed fashion as of late. The current style is all retro, it all comes back around. The current group of party goers were all kids in the 80's, now we are just wearing what we grew up in to the the clubs.

I am just waiting for some new Breakdance tracks to appear. ;D
