  1. Been on since July 1998. Don't really post much anymore though...
  2. Every time I see things about the "Twilo" party I can't help but laugh. You guys are funny  How'd you come up with that name anyway? It's very original...
  3. And the Ramones were the band that started the Punk revolution.
  4. also, trance is always assoiated with drugs for one good reason - it goes well with E. Trance is a simple music for beggining dance music fans. Even though everyone hates to admit it, many people start going to clubs for the drugs as much as the music. Trance is the ultimate E music because it takes you to those "magical" peaks with pretty voices and piano riffs.
  5. I don't know if America will ever "recognize." Most Americans wouldn't know good music if you hit them in the head with the record. But it is not just American's who have bad taste in dance music. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Judge Jules one of the most if not the most popular DJ in the UK? Aren't Judgement Sundays in Ibiza are one of the biggest nights there for the young Brits... That being said, I think a lot of the quality music you hear today is strongly influenced by the American sound. Well, more specificly a cross between the UK trance sound and the NY tribal and deep house sound. I'll do some investigating in Ibiza next week and come back with a full report on the styles and sounds of the past, present and future...
  6. That's what he plays at Twilo - a Stipped down style of house. And he just raises the energy as the night goes on, not by raising the BPM, but by dropping the right track at the right time... The past two times I saw him he did drop a few tracey tracks that surprised me, but he was playing 8 hour sets. And I'm sure he wanted to keep the Sasha fans happy.
  7. **cough** [This message has been edited by kaspr (edited 06-29-2001).]
  8. Now that I think about it, his sound is definitly "Dirty" (pardon the expresion) at Twilo than what he played at Homelands. Have you heard his Kiss Set from the 4 year anniversary at Twilo? That's a good indication of his former Twilo sound. It was recorded from about 6:45-7:45am.
  9. I'm not pOOh, but I was feeling nosey today. It's hard to compare anything he does with his sets at Twilo. He has a different approach each time he was there. But it is a bit trancy like his past couple Twilo sets that I saw. I think it's closer to a Twilo set than some of his other stuff out there. Why, do you like that set?
  10. Baltic Steet - I like being the slum lord.. It's also the name of my street.
  11. I think all of those things were put out there with the intention of NOT being sold. I bet the reserves are astronomical in price. There is no way you can auction off a soundsystem like Twilo's or even Junior's booth on e-bay... Something strange is going on here.
  12. I'm there. I guess it's gonig to be in a bigger place then???? Very interesting...
  13. The Foreman Grill Rocks!!! I don't know what i'd do without it.
  14. The show was good. Was hoping to hear a few more oldies (especially 41), but the encore made up for it all. My friend and i were in awe of the crowd during Two Step. I have never, EVER seen a crowd go off like that. And that's including Twilo at 7:30am during an S&D night. It was amazing how in sync the music and the weather were. It was a truely incredible experience. DMB were going OFF and the skies just opened up and we saw some of the most intense lightning above our heads. And with every bolt the crowd got more into it. Sick!! I think DMB were also in awe of the whole thing.
  15. Was Plastikman at Twilo recently? I thought it was Richie Hawtin
