  1. If everybody remembers good ol' Arabian Pleasures, there is a recently new song that is out there that starts off with the same drum sample that Arabian Pleasures has (before the beat kicks in), and it has a chant in it that goes "something something, I just can't get enough. something something something I just can't get enough"? If anybody knows the name artist of this song, please let me know. Thanks...

  2. After a night of hardcore clubbing (or just plain anytime late wink.gif ) these, in my opinion are some of the best spots to hit up for food in NYC.

    1) PIZZA - JOE'S PIZZA - corner of Carmine & Bleeker, just off 6th Avenue, West Village

----BEST GODDAMN SLICE IN TOWN, THE AMOUNT OF PEOPLE THERE EVERY NIGHT WILL PROVE THAT!!

OPEN TILL 5-5:30 AM on the Weekends!!!

    2) DINER - WAVERLY DINER - corner of 6th Avenue & Waverly Place, West Village

---- GREAT FOOD, HUGE PORTIONS THAT ARE SO GOOD THAT I ALWAYS FINISH MY PLATE. GREAT FRIES (THE THICK STEAK ONES biggrin.gif), AND AMAZING FRESH SQUEEZED OJ. EXCELLENT SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE.

    3) ON THE GO - MAMOUN'S FALAFAL - R/H side of McDougal Street b/w West 3rd & Bleeker

---- DOPE DOPE DOPE DOPE! Mamoun's is a VILLAGE INSTITUTION!! Always packed, always a line. My fav is the Chicken Kebab...YEAHHHHHH!!!

    - If anybody has any places to add or know of where the food is good after the club(s), let us, the clubworld (and conniseurs of fine food) know! Also for those of you who haven't hit up these spots yet, keep them in mind for next time!

    Peace and love,

Dharma I have to agree with klaxon. Before even reading what the others said I knew the Sony 700 was going to be one of your choices and exactly as what was mentioned before they have way too much low frequency that will really wreck your ears. Go with the Sony 7506's. I too had the 700 DJ's for a week and all they are, are just plain flashy...

but, since it's vegas, expect some cool (cheezey) light shows and some big sound systems.

you gotta get in the vegas mood (lots of drugs/alcohol can help) and once you're there, all things vegas become cool. Otherwise, it's easy to look around and say 'what the fuck'.

And, don't eat the super cheap buffets. go for the midprice ones. trust me. your ass will thank you.

LOL GREENZ, I am with you on the buffet. I think BUFFETS IN GENERAL SUCK. I stayed at the Caesar's. WORD OF ADVICE...IT IS THE SHITTIEST HOTEL THERE...DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT STAY THERE...IT BLOWS...everything from the service, to the food, to the gambling (I lost my shirt there, can you tell?) SUCKS. And the buffet was HORRIBLE...I WAS PISSED FOR THE REST OF THE DAY AFTER I ATE THAT NONSENSE. And to top it off I wanted them to extend my check out b/c I was on the redeye and they wouldn't do it, despite the fact I gambled SO MUCH MONEY AT THE DAMN PLACE, of which they HAD NO RECORD OF b/c they fucked up my ratings card and didn't want to go on my word. No f@#kin courtesy. Word of advice that a stripper gave me....NEVER GAMBLE AT THE HOTEL YOU STAY AT! IT'S A VEGAS RULE THAT IT'S APPARENTLY BAD LUCK, WHICH I FOUND OUT THE HARD WAY.

As for clubs, STAY AWAY FROM STUDIO 54 AT THE MGM GRAND. TTTTTOOOOOUUUUURRRRRIIISSSSTTTT TRAPPPPPPPPP!!! And the place is the size of my bedroom. Music?? Don't even get me started. They played Vengaboys - We Like To Party and Jump Around...

    In summary:

    1) Don't STAY at Caesar's.

    2) Don't EAT the Buffet at Caesar's

    3) Don't GAMBLE at Caesar's

    4) Don't GO to STUDIO 54...YOU WILL SHOOT YOURSELF!!!

That's my $0.02 on WHAT NOT TO DO in Vegas...

  6. Just a question that was crossing my mind today? There is always a lot of mention on the board about the international talent of PVD, S&D, Pauk Oak, etc, but which of our LOCAL NY DJ'S do you think has it all and why?

P.S. NO BASHING OF TSETTOS, BORIS, OR JP PLEASE!! This is an intelligent question that I am posting to the club world!

And for the record...I give my vote and props to Mr. Jason Ojeda, who has come a long way to making it big time from the depths of Strong Island!!

  9. Not only that but also a lot of promos go around on cd as well, so more and more djs like myself are spinning house off cd these days. I will take the feel and control of vynil any day, however, but my back certainly won't!!! Also...what happens if the Denon (piece of shit...trust me I've repaired 3 of mine 1nce each, and it's expensive) breaks down in the middle of your set?? eek.gif

  10. Is it JANA or ZHANA??

Btw I think Cheetah should be hot this Thursday night. Does anybody know anything about some record release party at Webster Hall that's going from 7-10 that night? My friend has a pass for it and there's open bar and food...so I'M THERE!!! If any clubplanet member is down to go send me a pm, and if he hasn't given the extra passes away I will do my best to hook it up. No need for something FREE to go to waste. wink.gif

P.S. Andy don't worry about me shoving Kettle One's and Coke's down your throat this time...I will already be drunk by the time I get to Cheetah (remeber that sh*t last time...lol...I was MASHED UP!!!)
