  1. This Wednesday the trance magician from Netherlands recorded in LA his latest set in the live Magik series. Tiesto - Magik 7 to be released really soon.

  2. I got in at about 5, and the place was banging. PURE ENERGY. Twilo was packed, but not as bad as it usually gets on PVD nights. And unlike the previous PVD performance, it cleared out around 7-8, so there actually was room to dance. At around 6 he slowed the bpms down (just a bit) and played harder tracks. Somewhere between 7-7:30 he was dropping just breakbeats. Really nice. Then about at 8 he speeded it up and dropped the Faithless - We Come One. It sounded sooooooooo incredibly good. From that moment on it was pure euphoria... Pumping tracks one after the other. With the last one being Members of Mayday - 10 in 01. Stopped at about 9. Time for encores!!! He went back to breakbeats, very twisted ones. Around 9:30 stopped with this crazy breakbeat mix of Enjoy the Silence. More yelling for encores... Then he played again some more pumping tracks, I couldn't recognize any this time. The lights were already on, everyone was dancing their ass off... It was awesome. He stopped around 9:50. More screaming and yelling. He came back again and played For an Angel. And then threw the vinyl to the crowd. It landed just a foot away from me and the guy next to me grabbed it first. Damn it, damn it, damn it...

I was loosing my faith in PVD, but this night definitely sealed PVD's position back up among my favorites.

  3. Listen to some doom metal. It's the darkest it can get, with the "I hate the world" attitude. Not very healthy actually. Any album by Lacrimosa will do it(Angst, Inferno, Satura, etc.) I doubt you can find it in a store, but napster can help.

  4. Thanks. I just checked the website for the guy behind push (www.mike.be), Limelight is noted there too. This is great!!! Woo-hoo!!! I can't believe this event gets so little attention. M.I.K.E/Plastic Boy/Push is one of the best trance producers and no one goes to see him?

I think I'm going to do that tonight and post it.

That would be great. I really like Resurrection. I've never heard it mixed in a set. I'm very curious what the other ones are.

  6. PVD is pretty much the only Twilo resident who'll play trance "resembling" Trance Nation CD's. Other than that the Gatecrasher/Limelight parties are good for trance. You might want to try Taucher or Talla at Webster Hall.

  7. In Tiesto live at Gatecrasher 12-16-00 part 1, he plays this track from 29 to 35 min. into the mix. Can someone id it? Thanks.

This way we can actually have conversations, and tie a buzz on. Of course the whole ass-munchin snow situation needs to clear, but I personally dig Thursdays cuz Friday is casual day AND if I hang out too long and my head feels like this

... I only hafta worry about makin it through one day.

    Where is Divine Bar anyway?

  10. I was waiting for a live Tiesto appearance forever, and it actually exceeded my my expectations. This Sat. was the best night I've ever had. The music, the lights, the energy of the crowd, the entire atmosphere... too overwhelming. I don't know if I'll be able to enjoy regular club nights after this.

And I was able to get him to sign the In Search of Sunrise 2 CD cover!
