Hmm.... well, if I can't get CDs, maybe I can get him to sign my Nomad II.... hmm. smile.gif

Ask him to sign a burned mp3 CD... wink.gif

I hear you're changing jobs? This company that I joined recently is hiring developers (focus on Java). Let me know if you're interested...

I keep finding more recent (late 2000) Tiesto sets on Napster..... almost all of it is high quality, IMHO. Assuming I ever have some down-time from the job search, I'm definitely gonna load some tracks onto my Nomad and hit the gym with Tiesto in my head. And I'm really hoping I can order Magik VI and have it delivered in time for LL on Saturday -- I would LOVE to have a signed copy from the Master.

Btw, shouldn't there be some sort of **** OFFICIAL TIESTO MEETUP *** thread going on by now?! cwm23.gif

It takes about a week to get CD's delivered from the Black Hole site. I got the In Search of Sunrise 2 about a month ago.

  4. Of the Magik series my favorite is Magik 5, 6 was pretty good too. His In Search of Sunrise mix is very good too, waiting to get the second one!!! Pretty much all of his mixes are great, Summerbreeze, Live at Innercity, the rest of Magiks. But my all time favorite is Live at Energy 2000 set. See you all Feb 16.

  5. I've done the tandem jump once. It was one of the most thrilling experiences in my life. I'd recommend doing the tandem, cause if you do solo, most likely there will be no free fall at all, which was the best part of it. I also got a video tape of it (in some places if you pay an extra $30-$40 they have a third guy jumping by himself with a video camera taping everything). If you can, definitely get the video too, it's well worth it. Hard to describe how it feels, you gotta try it for yourself. The memories will last forever.

It doesn't happen all the time. Every once in a while when I'm refreshing the page with the list of topics I get connection with server was reset message. It's been happening for the last couple of days. Too much traffic may be?

How do you know so much about everyone? Your post has a point, but I think you went overboard here.

What they can do if they choose to, is make their computer in the IT department kinda like another one of yours, doing exactly what your doing at the time. So if they mirror your computer while you are IM'ing someone, they'll see exactly what is on your screen... as you type, send, and get responses. Understand what I mean? What are the chances of them doing this??? Depends on what sites your hitting, and if they are concerned.

Nah, it's much, much simpler than that. All they gotta do is listen to the port through which AIM is sending the data. Everything goes through their servers anyways. There are even a bunch of "snoop" programs on the net that can do exactly that. I doubt most companies go that far though, they would be spending way too much time monitoring tons of junk. But they definitely could if they wanted to.

  9. I guess mine is going to be the only positive feedback... I was there on a Friday night for Taucher and had an awesome time. If you like epic trance, definitely check it out - there really aren't many clubs in the city playing it. The Friday DJ line-up is pretty impressive, they are getting top trance names like Taucher, Talla, Tandu, and Tiesto in February!!! The venue is awesome, lots of space and doesn't get packed, so there's plenty of room to dance. I think this is a HUGE plus if you're a trancehead and like to just dance your ass off - no better place than Webster Hall. Lots of foreigners, which is not a problem for me, I was not born in this country either. As far as the crowd being ugly - I absolutely don't think so. I saw too many hotties to agree with such a statement. The vibe - well, I have to say that I liked Twilo vibe better, but I've seen much worse ones too in other clubs. I wasn't impressed with the sound system and the biggest minus for me was that the place cleared up by about 4:30. Never been there on a Saturday. Overall worth giving it a try. Just make sure you pick a night with a DJ you like.

  10. The longest CONTINUOUS period without sleep was from Monday morning to Friday night. I was working full time and writing my senior thesis. But my sophomore year I did something much, much worse... I averaged 3.5 hrs of sleep per day the whole semester. By the end of it I could sleep anywhere (class, cafeteria, work, car, etc.) in any imaginable posision (horizontal, vertival and everything in between). I had to literally sleep the whole summer to recover. And I don't drink coffee.

Quake 1 was definitely, by far, the most capturing of them all.
